I need just an opinion. How soon after graduating you should consider start your 'training' in the discipline of your liking? say for example, camera work? (could be freeflying etc) By training I mean, focusing into the discipline you want to be good at. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.

Flying very flat. Any suggestions on how to arch?
CrazyIvan replied to dogdoghowl's topic in Safety and Training
Some weights might help, but just relax during freefall and the arch will come , I'm a light skydiver too, 5' 7" and 135 Lb. but I can fall fast if I want. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you. -
why doesnt everyone use an AAD?
CrazyIvan replied to eyeinthesky's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You are right, there are many possibilities, but having that extra backup is always welcome, especially if you for some reason you get knocked out and you are unable to pull. Personal preference, you are correct, I was just sharing my point of view. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you. -

I'm also new to the sport and still a student, and I have an opinion about that. AAD in my opinion are necessary, as a backup, yes they might fail but also MIGHT SAVE YOUR LIFE, regarding affordability, if you're serious about the sport you should put some money away for things like this. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you. -
If you want some excellent gloves for skydiving (I own a pair of those) search for MILITARY gear, the ones I got are for Navy gunners, they are thin, so you can feel your hacky, handles, etc very well and believe me, they keep your hands warm, plus, they are waterproof. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.

I'm a still a student in NJ, and as a matter of fact, I did a level 4 jump in a very cold day, just wear layers and gloves, no big deal. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.

Stupid skydiving questions and ridicule
CrazyIvan replied to narcimund's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The purpose of forums like this is to SPREAD the RIGHT MESSAGE, if someone like me in this case, comes with a question like this, it means that I'm either just learning, or researching, so, if a more experienced skydiver has something to say, I'm all ears. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you. -
I very well know the RESERVE is the last resort, I'm not planning in doing something stupid, perhaps, when I get enough experience I could try something like that, but not before asking 298467394963498239746364234 questions about it, I'm new to skydiving, and you will have to excuse one or 2 of these unusual questions, you guys are great. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.

Thank you all for your replies. Wow, I didn't know a little question could cause all this. For the record: I WAS ONLY ASKING, I don't want you people to think I'm a total moron or a loser, I'm just a box full of questions, that's all. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.

Whoa!!!!, NO WAY I'M DOING THAT!!!, I was just 'asking', just needed a point of view, an opinion, I know I'm crazy but not stupid. We are just discussing things here, that's how we learn. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.

Just curious, but according to the USPA, the reserve parachute must be re-packed by a FAA rigger every 120 days even if it this hasn't been used, my question is, if I'm due to get my reserve re-packed, may I jump and deploy my reserve instead of my main?. As you can see I'm a newbie, so please pardon my ignorance. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.

Actually what I'd like is to get some more info about canopy control, freefall (not really freefly) stuff like that. BTW, I like Lord of the Rings books, but I like the movie better __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.

Hi there!!!, I'm a student and I'm wondering if any of you guys can give a suggestion about books and videos, I have seen some all over the net, but, when I read the reviews some say they suck or others it rules, in any case, I'd like to know your opinion. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.
