Help stamp out monkey smuggling! Next thing you know, theyll be taking our jobs, demanding that we learn their language, and going on welfare.
-
Thanks, I needed that

Our economy would collapse like Trent Lott's career.

More people need to think like that. You don't have to believe in the Christmas story to live the philosophy.

That's a bummer bro, How come no family around?
-
That's the right attitude. My family made the pledge years ago to cut down on the gifts and focus on the pleasure of being together for a whole day. Have you jumped at Kingsdale yet?

Yeah, every year the commercialism seems to get worse. This evening I was walking through the city, the lights and decorations were out, sidewalk Santas were ringing their bells. All of a sudden I heard a car horn blast for five seconds and heard a young lady yell "get the F*** out of the road!" Happy Holidays :-)

I wonder if the guy running away was vaporized.

Your icon looks familiar, wasn't it the cover of National Lampoon years ago? As in, "Buy this magazine, or we'll shoot this dog"

Interesting concept; growing your own underwear.

Yeah, did one once - what fun! The ride up was as exciting as the jump. The coolest thing was not knowing when or where we would exit. We flew until the pilot told us to leave so he could climb above the mountain we were approaching. The last one out actually had the least altitude, because the pilot had the balloon in a sink so it wouldn't pop up like an annoying internet ad when we left.

S/L, 23 yrs old in August, 1977. Still loving every minute of it! I see only about 10% of the respondents started at 35+. I guess it's true about older being wiser.

That was incredible! All I could think about was 9/15/01, when I went down and saw the gaping, charred hole in the Pentagon. I've waited since then to see something like this. Now I want to see the mushroom cloud over Riyadh. Those primates have learned to use real weapons instead of clubs and daggers, it's time to exterminate them. Of course PETA will get upset and claim it's cruelty to animals to kill terrorists.

It is fun to climb around outside. My home DZ used to have a Pilatus Porter. My favorite exit slot was one in which I climbed over the strut and turned around facing rear, standing on the tire. The pilot loved to tap the brakes and watch me log roll while the others climbed out. One time he let off completely and left me hanging until the ready, set, go!

DC-3's were my favorites for years. The sound of those radials was almost hypnotic, and they really are historic aircraft. I have to agree with ladyskydiver, it is so cool to run out the back of a tailgate plane. I don't think I have a favorite today. Having jumped from helicopters, biplanes, hot air balloons, and all types of "regular" skydiving aircraft, I'd say they each have their own characteristic that made them stand out. Now, if it were possible to safely jump the Space Shuttle....

If you don't have the tool, throw a hamster or a really cute kitten in the disposal, insert the stopper, and turn it on. They run around, clear up the jam and then....oh well. Works every time for me!

Sophists were like lawyers? Too bad they didn't drink the hemlock instead of poor Socrates.

England has the worst crime rate in the world!

If they abolish soccer over there the arson, murder and assault rates would drop like the NASDAQ. -
I wonder if this is what the opening salvo will look like?

I don't see the Attachment option anymore when I post. It's there in PM's, though. What gives?
-
Yep, and the exhibit at the History Mueseum features the lyrics to that number! Cheers!

I have a few electrics, too. I like Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkies for rock/blues. Tried heavier gauge jazz strings and got instant carpal tunnel.
-
BTW, what guitar strings do you use?

I think a letter to Chevron's PR department is in order. I would hope corporate management would not take kindly to their franchise owners showing such direspect for the flag. Being a for-profit entity, they would be even more upset to learn the practice is compelling customers to go elsewhere. I live in the Washington DC area. I never get tired of going to the museum of American History and seeing the Star Spangled Banner hanging there, the very one that inspired Francis Scott Key in 1812 to write what became our anthem. If you're ever in town, don't miss the chance to see it, it's an inspiring sight. You can actually watch it's restoration in progres right now.

Hmmm, let's see now.... I'm a 48 yo bald guy with bificals on, do you think I would get the same treatment?
