  1. the record for the highest fall into water and serviving is 134 feet so the chances are real slim for you there. But if you did live you would make it into that world record book with the beer name. I have already threatend to take out the car, and I don't want people to start thinking I make Idle threats so I think I will aim for the car.
  2. so if I uderstand you correctly the b.o.c. is a modified one that can be opened from either side. is this correct? Don
  3. I have a question for those of you at drop zones who start students off on b.o.c. instead of ripcords. If the student is not altitude aware and goes low or even can't get any where stable at pull time, how does the jumpmaster deploy the chute for them? I'm not they are doing anything wrong or any thing. I just want to know how they do it. Don
  4. Steve I jump with a ski/snowboard helmet it is a joffa and is working fine. It is also slimmer than a protec and the ear holes have a built in damper to close them off if you whant. The only problem I have had with it was I had to modify it a little to mount my protrack. It is also less expensive than most any other helmet I"ve seen. Don
  5. for me wind limit is if the students arent going up I'm not going up. I have jumped in high winds and gusty winds as well, but I look at it like this I was lucky I didnot have any problems landing backwards and I don't whant to push my luck too far. I can wait for a calm day. Don
  6. This is just another reason that proves the b.c.s. bowl alliance is just a bunch of bull shit....... Don

    Chopper Jumps!!

Hey Harro; I've only done 1 chopper jump but, I will tell you what I can. When I jumped I whent from a bell Jet Ranger. It held 4 jumpers, Pilot, and 1 tator. when I whent out it was at 4000ft agl and as close to a hover as the pilot could get. this realy gives you a feeling of falling. It was also very quiet until you start to pick up speed. Kind of an expensive hop n pop at $45 but given the chance I think I would do it again.
  9. jason; Where were you? we got three loads up on sat. in toole. I got on two of those loads and even though they were just going to be hop and pops the clouds lifted while we were on the way up on one jump and we got 10grand. Anyway I won't be bitching till next weekend when I am doing that nat. gaurd thing and won't be anywere near a dropzone. Don
  10. "So Dz guys my big ones help with freefall, but seems like most guys just like a "b" What do you guys like better?" I think you need to post a picture so we can give an educated answer to that question.

    The Weekend

0:5:0 good weekend. could have been better though. especially with skreamer going 4:1:2 !!!!!!!!!! where do you get the energy? or is it viagra? Don
  13. The way I understand it, It is perfectly ok but , every jump no matter were it is made must be ok with the faa. sounds like a fun little boogie. just tell us when and were. Don
  14. lazer I was at the boogie all three days but, I can't place who you are. I was just in ogden today to pick up my rig from Brian. However I will be in toole tomorow. Mabe we will get together one of these days. Don
  15. hey lazer where are you jumping tomorrow? Ogden or toole? Just wondering since I still haven't figured out who you are. anyway blue skies! Don
  16. I see that most of the people posting on here bought online on dropzone. I have not bought online but have a friend who did. the difference here is that he bought on ebay. ebay may be a good way to find old records but not a parachute. the rig my freind got ended up not being what was advertized. Not only that but it won't open without a lot of coaxing ( this thing will snivell you into the ground.) I guess what I'm saying here is be very very carefull. Don
  17. this was really sad. these people taught me to jump and that plane was one of the best jumpships I've ridden in. Don
  18. hey skyhawk either youve been drinking or I have. but your post doesn't make any sense at all.

    16000ft jump

Hey jason I havent jumpeed from that alti, but I will see you there. I do think that you don't have to wear the oxygen until 12 to 13. at any rate this is going to be fun. Don
  21. Vicking if you do get around to doing that drive way. Do not use quikcrete. It is too weak to hold up for a driveway, and will fail in only a couple of years especially in an area that has an extreme freeze thaw cycle. convince your mother to go with a 6 bag mix of concrete. It will be well worth it in the long run. Don
  22. Skydive LasVegas is not currently a member of uspa. In fact the only dropzone in the area that is a member of uspa is LasVegas gravity zone in jean, unless you count flyaway wind tunnel.
