This question makes me realize my age. When I made my first jump in the early 70s, there were no Tandems, no AFF. They did not exist. The progression was static line, dummy ripcord pull, hop n pops and 10 second delays. I made five static line jumps my first day and three hop n pops the next weekend. At 60 years old I still enjoy skydiving. Made three jumps last weekend.

Won't be wearing it to work..I don't think the passengers will like it and be hard to get into the cockpit with it on and the Uniform Nazis would have me hauled in on the carpet!!

I started wingsuiting a few months ago and was PLAGUED with line twist...Warren at ChutingStar converted my D bag to a lazy bag by sewing a flap with 2 magnets on it. Smooth, Nice, No line twist openings. Having read here how much people like it and after talking to a rigger that uses a lazy bag I thought I'd give it a shot. Works better than I ever thought it could! JMTCW

We used to hook the ends of a cord to beer cans, The funnest one was at a Christmas party where we had the thing hooked up. Two people were holding the beer cans one would shake hands with a new arrival and the other would casually touch the new arrivals other hand...it was a SHOCKING greeting to say the least!! On another note..you need to do it inside and not on a concrete slab..as there is a serious risk of electrocution...But then again most skydivers like a little risk!!

When PC meant Para Commander. You know what a 7TU is. Four Line release on your reserve. The Springs The Thing ( Spring Loaded Pilot Chute on Main) A canopy collision usually meant two rounds would bounce off one another and no one was going to die. You did a PLF on EVERY jump. You hooked your PC to the trailer hitch on somebody's car so you could hold tension while you flaked it. -
Speaking of the county fair: There we where..another Lifetime ago at the county fair...and the first EVER skydiving cat was going to make his jump....The brave kitty took off in the old cessna with a pilot chute from some type of military cargo gear as his main....."Tiger" made his jump.....the chute opened nicely...and the Skydiving Cat was on his way down...UNTIL.....Tiger got scared and started to claw his way to the top of the chute which promptly collapsed it..mothers covered their childrens eyes and there was many a scream as a ball of fur tangled in nylon cratered in....

I don't know why I the video didn't upload...anyway the video is about the same quality as my sony cybershot camera in the "movie"n mode.

Both the camera and external module have a short battery life. The camera unit is rechargeable, while the external module requires two AAA's. Attached is a short video shot with the camera at highest quality

i BOUGHT THIS CAMEA KEEP IT TWO DAYS AND RETURNED IT. POOR VIDEO, VERY SHORT BATTERY LIFE. WHEN YOU TURN THE CAMERA OFF TO CONSERVE BATTERY LIFE, THEN TURN IT BACK ON YOU HAVE TO GO BACK INTO THE CAMERA MENU TO RESELECT THE EXTERNAL CAMERA MODULE, SOMETHING THAT IS NOT ALWAYS THAT EASY JUST BEFORE A SKYDIVE...IN MY OPINION THIS THING IS NOT READY FOR MARKET. THERE ARE A LOT OF ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE WORKED OUT WITH IT TO BE USEFUL FOR SKYDIVING.
