  1. Yeah, anyways... I got an Odyssey with wingsuit mod, a Sabre2 135 and PD126R coming. Should be here some time around the turn of the century.
  2. It's been way too long on this forum since there has been a "suit-off". Infact I don't remember there ever being one. So come on and send in your pictures. Once there are enough pics voting will commence. I am super keen to see what sort of suit aesthetics there are out there (anymore JP Furnari's )!!!!!
  3. I am just wondering what pilot chutes are recommended for wingsuit flying. I am going to get the 100" bridle from Birdman Int'l, but have a new Sabre2 135 and Javelin Odyssey on order, and so I think I will just request whatever size pilot chute I need from Sunpath (no need to have an unused pilot chute laying around). So, what size pilot chute should I be asking for? I know Birdman Int'l offers a 28" ZP pilot chute, so perhaps this is the size I should ask for, but is it the best size pilot chute for my Sabre2 135? And do Sunpath make ZP pilot chutes, or just F1-11?
  4. I am buying a new rig. I have settled on a Sabre2 150, but am still tossing up container options. My new rig is to be primarily for wingsuit flying. I am thinking of getting an Odyssey, although a friend of mine has been having some trouble with his riser covers coming open (perhaps due to the hard inserts?). Open riser covers is certainly not something I want to deal with on wingsuit flights - and lets face it, if I am buying new why should I get anything less than perfect. The other option I am considering is a Mirage G4, a damn fine container from what I have seen. Anyway, any opinions on these containers/ any suggestions for other containers. I await your reply bird-people.
  5. Thanks for the response Fergs, I will be pumping out the jumps over the next few months en route to 200 - especially tracking jumps. As soon as I hit 200 I will get back to you. I left Elderslie early also, but will find out who placed in the accuracy next time I go up there and let you know. Adam.
  6. Hi Fergs, I am a mate of Jesse's and also an Elderslie jumper. I was at the POPS meet, and saw you make a flight in your blue (what looked to be) GTI. I am also interested in taking up wingsuit flying. I have one question though. What is the minimum number of jumps someone has to have before you are willing to give them wingsuit instruction? I ask because several different accomplished sources tell me different things. Anyhow, let me know. I am keen to come down to Temora and fly. Thanks, Adam.

  8. I am an A licenced jumper with about 30 jumps. I am 6'2" and weigh only 160lbs (tall and skinny), and consequently have a very slow fall rate. Whilst I am fairly stable in the air, I am finding that I am having trouble keeping up with other jumpers because I have such a large surface area and so little weight. If I could arch much more then it would be OK, but I am having problems developing a good arch, and naturally want to fly flat and wide. My only thought is that I should try some lower back stretching exercises (If this is the way to go, can anyone let me know of the stretches I should be doing). Are there any other jumpers out there that have experienced similar problems? I am very keen to rectify this problem, as it is holding me back greatly.
