Also while we're at it, Cooper exited two chutes, the FBI kept the dyed cut chute that we see as evidence and the other chute was returned to Hayden, isn't that correct?

SO, Rikes, you don't believe me when I say that Cossey told me that he owned the chutes and sent them to Sea-Tac via Boeing Field? How come? Similarly, how come you're "sure he didn't mean he delivered them to Sea-Tac." What's the basis of your confidence on this issue? BS, I thought it was accepted that the chain of command went NWO SEA Flt Ops scrambled and phoned Pacific Aviation (I believe there is a statement from the individual, Harrison maybe?) who knew/contacted Cossey and he shoved the Hayden chutes he had packed at his house into a cab (after being paid for them by NWO SEA.) They went to Boeing Field then to Sea-Tac by private car to 305. The other two were harder to secure and went more direct by state patrol. It was my understanding that Cossey much later said he "owned" the chutes because he received money for them which was sent in the cab by NWO SEA. Am I wrong on all that?

I feel like I have to throw some things out there for discussion. 1 - I can't count the amount of times Larry Carr has said "go by the description and not the sketches." Plus a couple of pages back there Carr is accused of throwing a hoax out there. Did I read that right? Wouldn't he be under a huge amount of DZ scrutiny? 2 - *sigh* Geoffrey Gray did not write an in depth criminal investigation into DB Cooper, he wrote a book (a form of entertainment, granted well researched entertainment) on DB Cooper. 3 - When Earl Cossey said he delivered the chutes, I'm sure he didn't mean he delivered the chutes to Sea-Tac. What exactly is the basis for Cossey being called a liar? 4 - If the Amboy chute had markings, a phone call to Cossey (the FBI, chute expert) would be sufficient to determine if it was Cooper's supplied chutes. 5 - Brown contacts? This thing will never get solved. Instead of increasing the options, why can't we decrease the options? I feel the heat about to be turned way up here, but (here goes) the DZ needs a little more non-American-paranoid-centric "the FBI, the government, are screwing us over, don't trust anything, conspiracy" in it.

One page back Cooper is jumping at 175mph. This page Cooper's semi-opened chute is enduring drag at 225mph and then eight lines down at 200mph. Keep up the good work you guys.

First off, I apologize if there have been screenshots of your site been put on here. I didn't know that and to me, a nobody, I don't think that's cool either. secondly, yes I am saying that it's okay to talk about other members and not okay to cut and paste their postings. But shutter, the reason I'm saying that, is because it seems to me, IMHO, that you can't have it both ways. You were upset about the bickering, I don't blame you, it's like gossip central in here, but you shouldn't be worried about this site. That's my whole point. You should be administrating your site and have no concern about this site. Okay so let me throw this (new??) Cooper idea out there I've been bouncing around in my brain. This is a parachuting site right? Surely people here have had to put themselves and a chute into the trees. So, they know how much of a bitch it is to get yourself onto a tree, cut your lines or maybe get out of your harness, get down to the ground without falling onto your head and then, somehow get your chute out of the branches. Hell, it's probably a pain to get your lines out of even a bush. And if your Cooper, and you successfully pulled, and it's night, and you're heart's freaking 'cause you just jumped out a 727 and you're about to be man-hunted and seeing no one in LE, in helicopters, in the search ever found a canopy in the trees ... why don't we simply eliminate anywhere with trees as a valid LZ? It should rule out a lot of land because there's a whole lot of trees in the NW.

I think it's reasonable for someone on Shutter's site to talk shit about someone here and vice versa. Although the "us vs them" stance is just everyone throwing their toys out of their cribs. I really like dbcooper forum. However Shutter needs to call a zero-tolerance halt to the "copy and paste" bullshit or his (or her) site will eventually self-implode into an embarrassing DZ Version 2.0. They will have the legacy of being the creator of exactly what they didn't like here. I understand banning people from his/her's site. That's fine. If you own the site you can do whatever you want but then allowing your membership to attack Skyjack71 and RobertMBlevins (that's what I see) without any ability for them to defend themselves or their position is just juvenile and worse … it's cowardly. Creative LICENSE? Are you kidding? Did you NOT read his book? He was granted an appointment with the case agent for crying out loud. That's how he got access to the files. He wasn't allowed to copy them, but he did view at least some of them and made notes. They probably did not give him unlimited time to do this, either. He thanks a lot of people, and used a LOT of sources. He names all sources on all key points and why they are listed. You guys should try reading his Acknowledgements section in the back of the book, and the Notes section that precedes it! It's a non-fiction book, and that means when there is an Index, a Notes section, and Acknowledgements...that those things are a KEY part of the book! Gray lists every single source he contacted and why in Notes, and pretty much the same thing in Acknowledgements. Skyjack is extremely well-researched. Sounds like some folks only looked at the pictures.

Although you are saying it's an investigation into KC and it's out there and one can make up one's own mind but really your book is about Kenny Christiansen possibly being DB Cooper. I will say that your book however, is a true investigation. The ex-FBI'ers put together a string of know facts about McCoy. You did the legwork, interviews, presentation of KC. I don't believe KC is Cooper but yours is the better book when it comes to personal research. *** Gray wasn't allowed to copy the files he was allowed to access on the case. He merely got to look and then make notes. He concentrated mostly on the actual timeline of events during the hijacking, and the witness reports that were taken in Seattle and Reno. People, Gray's book is a complete failure. Stop adoring it. At most, it is an excellent, entertaining read for the general public on the Cooper case with some glitter thrown in for you afficiandos but that's what it's supposed to be. If any of you had access to the Holy Grail would you put the timeline together (for the nth time) or would you hunt for all those answers the FBI won't release? Hmm?

I'd like to ask a very legitimate question to you "Cooper royalty." No offense Robert but I can't even get past the fact that the very cover of Into The Blast, represents Cooper with a sport parachute. If Gray had access to the FBI files, then OMG, where are they in his book? Surely that book would be the textbook, if not the end all reference book on Cooper. Plus the symposium I'm sure was fantastic but your admiration for him for organizing what I see as a successful marketing and promotional event for Skyjack, I don't get. Why are you carrying Gray on your shoulders? Same with Tosaw, he connects his facts with creative narrative and you people are so eager to regurgitate his pablum as truth. Tosaw discovered what about Cooper? And the real McCoy? Seriously? I think it's an insult to Dan Cooper to say McCoy was Cooper. McCoy was an obvious idiot. Identical MO?Fingerprints? jumpsuit? These are the same heroes who were sued by McCoy's wife and LOST and had to pay her money as damages and kept it quiet out of the public to hide their shame behind a lawyer? And didn't she also sue the publisher of the "most honest and revealing book" and they also LOST and agreed to pay her money as damages? Doesn't "libel" and "defamation" mean that it is both "intentional" and "false?" I'm not an author but aren't those words opposites of "honest?" I have no idea what you told the FBI about anything. Like you, I do have pictures, though. Only sometimes they have dates and clues on them that can lead you to where, when, and by whom they were taken. For example, here is Kenny Christiansen in a picture that is stamped FEB 72 across the bottom front of the original. (Refers to the the date the picture was developed, and is placed there by the company who developed the negative.) However...the Christmas wreath on the door leads us to believe it was actually taken between Thanksgiving and Christmas of 1971 and developed the following year. The location was identified as the Rainier View Apartments, Sumner, WA, Apt. J-3. I have seen this place personally and it still exists under the same name. It could even have been taken BEFORE Thanksgiving, but probably not long before the start of the traditional holiday season. The biggest questions are WHO took the picture, and WHY? We already know for certain that Christiansen lived alone at this particular residence. Yet...someone snapped it as he was entering the apartment. But...he has no key in his hand, although he looks a little surprised. Very strange. We think the photographer was his friend Bernie Geestman, and that the photo was a purposely-staged memento. We do NOT believe the bag and briefcase Christiansen holds are the actual items used in the hijacking. Repeat: NOT the actual items. But it is very coincidental that he is dressed similarly to the hijacker for such a picture, carrying those items, and taken around the time of the hijacking. Well...and it looks like he's maybe wearing a black raincoat...more of a topcoat. It's too long to be a suit jacket. EDIT: Looking at the pose in the picture, the door is fully open. Both of Christiansen's hands are occupied. There is no set of keys visible in the lock, or in his hand. He is not seen pushing open the door. Conclusion: Staged photograph, most likely. Reason unknown. Do you have a high resolution scan of this photograph? Would you mind posting it?

Hey, I just wanted to say that I only commented so Cooperites (Cooperonians?) don't jump on your back, haha.
