[CHAPTER II : three weeks later ] Yeah I had fun there ( kind of short and sweet stay of one afternoon...) For now I'm going in the "south" again! This time I'll be very close to Jumptown so.... Readysetgo!!! A question for people there: as the low season is taking the place of busy summer days, will it be quiet friday afternoon or could there be enough people to have Otter loads? See ya!

Contact Frankais at frankais@yahoo.fr , he's about to give that class with another rigger. Two infos you might want to know before all: the course would be held somewhere between Quebec and Montreal and I strongly presume it will be in french. S-P ===========================

OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH YAAAAA ! ! ! ! We did it today by a wonderful sunny saturday, probably the last one of the season. That was for the 1000th jump of a fellow bird-babe and also her 100th wingsuit jump , we (almost) filled up the king air 100 at the end of the day with wingsuits flyers including 4 bird babes

Well Jo, if something prevent you to jump, quit it!!! Just kidding! I'm sorry you wouldn't be able to make it, we haven't had the chance to fly our suits together yet and it would have been a great moment for it, just like the CREW jumps we had at the St-Jean Baptiste boogie and the St-Fred boogie. See ya soon anyway S-P S-P ===========================

Hi there! Just want to let the flock know that there will be a wingsuit fest in the Quebec city area at the end of june: The First Annual Canadian Wingsuit Boogie, from june 28th to july 1st. There will be 2 Birdman instructors, seminars, demo wingsuits, a King Air 100 and a Twin Bonanza. There will also be a Canadian record. It will be at Atmosphair DZ in St-Jean-Chrysostome, Quebec,Canada. For more informations, contact: Marc Gagne (418) 801-8484 or cocogagne@hotmail.com Yeah, I know it looks like an ad but this is where I jump so I would be very happy to have a huge wingsuit boogie this summer. By the way, we are currently about 15-20 birdmen and 2 birdwomen flying regularly at this DZ. Have a nice summer! S-P S-P ===========================

Hi there! I give the same kind of seminar and I wroted a manual about packing with rules to respect, gear inspection, names of pieces, etc. When I give that seminar, I add more about the equipment in general to give the newbies basic skills about the gear they jump. The goal of the seminar is to give a lot of infos for about 15 persons at a time, show how to "unentangle" (sp?) and demonstrate how to pack and inspect a canopy but people can't practice packing; they have to practice with a more one on one supervision later. I've attached a .pdf version. I assume you can read a bit french as I see in your profile you come from NB. Feel free to use it, but if you ever translate it in english, I would expect to have a copy. PM me if you have any questions or comments or use "traditionnal" e-mail : spbouchard@yahoo.ca Good luck! (By the way I'll be giving that seminar tomorrow...) S-P ===========================

Yesterday there was a show in a small bar of Quebec City, BOB LOG III from Tucson, AZ, and saying that it was amazing is the less I can say. First of all, he’s doing a great one man show, playing slide guitar and a bass drum (written on it “Slide Guitar Ride”) and cymbal with very good technique and a sound full of groove. A bit repetitive but very enthousiast on stage and communicative with the croud. Now let me describe his costume: he appears on the stage wearing a one piece disco sparkling electric blue stretch suit, an old sparkling too motorcycle helmet with a bubble visor and a phone earpiece (!) as a mike ducttaped on it. Imagine an old poster of a ‘70 stunt man and you almost got it. The weirdest moment of the night was when he ordered to a server a “Boob Scotch”: just like he explained it on stage, it’s a full glass of scotch in which a girl put her tit in it (!). So he received his full glass of Scotch and ask and insist for a woman in the croud to put his breast into it. After a while, when it was obvious that no girls would do it (every girls were laughing but were also a bit nervous…) , a guy came on the stage and did it. So was born the “DUDE BOOB SCOTCH” and it was then the moto for the rest of the gig. DUDE BOOB SCOTCH! Don’t know if it’s a well-known artist in Arizona or elsewhere, but if you want to see and hear a special musical show, go to see him, you’ll have a fun gig. Anyone has seen him before? (By the way, he's signed on the same label than R.L. Burnside, Fat Possum Records). ======== Edited to add: Here is a LINK to his web site to see the video of the "Boob Scotch" song. The father of a passenger i was briefing for the jump asked me if there was an handle i could use to release the passenger if things go bad, and he was serious... He then realized the stupidity of his question and blushed when i asked " Do you really want me to release your daughter during the flight? S-P ===========================

Large cargo door on the left side. Easy exit s from this plane: just throw yourself out and present you to the relative wind. have fun! S-P ===========================

The answer could also be: " you have 10 seconds to learn how to fly.." S-P ===========================

Hey Jocelyn, how did you manage to jump out of a CL-215??? I've been looking around for years to jump it!!! Tell me more please...
-
Depending of the step outside the plane and grips around the door, it may be possible for 2, 3 or 4 persons to be outside, and the others inside the plane dive, just like a normal formation exit. The first persons to exit may not go full speed at the begining to allow the last to join the group. Have fun! S-P ===========================
