    GPS problem

There are probably a lot of people who jump with GPS, if anybody has experience with the wintec wtb-201 in use with OSX/mac.. I just recieved the gps, guess I can go somewhere on a PC to change the settings but which program to use to be able to see some data? Thanks Ferry

    BASE catapult

I heard average is like 8G's and the highest point was 13G after 0.2sec. Ferry
  3. Going through my pics I found this one again, it's my favorite one. Who has not enjoyed this view in the morning sun Ferry

    Ever tried this?

I had my rigger made the same thing on my first canopy when the DBS was worn out. Did like 50 jumps with it after that and like you I had no problems. But for myself I didn't like it on slider up jumps if I needed to sink/fly in brakes, because of the bump you feel when you pull the control line through the rings slowly. But from full flight to flare was no problem. Ferry
  5. The whole thing was a expedition but people took it like a boogie. I had seen the wall from the bottom and from the look out close to the exitpoint, and hoped it would look better once on the exitpoint looking over the edge. Only a couple of wingsuit and one tracking jump was done before, it still needed to be explored! For the future, this place is NOT a new Norway.. Ferry
  6. Cool, shouldn't get too long to finish the 66 others. Well, #40 is not fair because I don't have a wife. But.. I'm looking for one to complete #6 Ferry

  8. That's exactly what I mean and don't want. And I believe that that's because of a flaoting lens. But my question is if anybody knows if the HC90 does this aswell.. Ferry
  9. Hi! I'm doing research on several sony video camera types and a lot of them nowdays seem to have that floating lens problem. For example the new HC1, and the PC1000. I'm looking for a camera with a fixed lens and was wondering if anybody here can tell me about the HC90. Other question is if the HC90 needs 30mm or 37mm wide angle? Thanks! Ferry
  10. With out any math and by taking just a quick look, the only way to outfly the bottom slab is.. Under canopy! Ferry
  11. I see... And how would you explain that on BASE slider-OFF openings?!! @peterpan: Thanks for the info, that's where I was looking for. I'm sure you shoot vid with autofocus off and if it happends to you every jump with a crossfire it's not the type of camera I'm looking for. Ferry
  12. I've been looking for that as well on all the pc1000 threads and did not found the answer. I will be using my camera mostly in BASE and don't want the footage to get blurry during every opening, like i.e. the pc101. Any (BASE)jumpers who have experienced this on this model? Thanks Ferry
  13. My mobile nr should work but I don't know if I keep it. But I will be with RK so you know where to find me. Cya!! Ferry
  14. Hey Neil! I am arriving in SF on Oct 19th, let's play Ferry

Keep it flying, good job man! Ferry
  18. I don't know about the beer and the cigarettes, but i think that depends on what your used to. But they use euro's. I'm going to be therte also! Cya there! Ferry
  19. Hey Jaap! Thanks for the vid, nice stuff. Congrats on your E! Sorry dude, but I can't share a much crazier story. That's not fair asking for when you make your first E on your 14th jump with your feet strapped to a board.. Ferry
  20. I was wondering if someone could recommend me a special throwing technic for go and throws... Or a way to start the wings flapping for some extra drag. thanks in advance! Ferry
  21. If a canopy doesn't plane out I see it as bad flare, and no you did not say that. I have jumped a BT pro, from PdF. That might be something you like. Eliptical, very fast turning. Good openings and short toggle range, bad swooping canopy. Only thing is that the glide angle is not that steep. (I still have mine...) Ferry
  22. Strange, you want a canopy with a bad glide ratio and a bad flare. The way I see it all canopies have wing profile to built up lift to "fly". So I guess you like a old out of trim canopy or a round. Ferry
  23. Why don't you pm him under your real name to tell him! Ferry
  24. I had a broken control line once, at the brake setting. This one stayed on heading, but it was dark and before you really reconize what's going on your on the ground. Low A with plenty of landingarea, no problems. And I also saw one setting blown on opening which turned almost 180 in the last part of the opening, both were with pins. They were both sliderdown jumps, and caused by the opening whack. And both from A's. But on a more technical jump this could be a big problem. But on this case it happend to him while packing, was it slider up or down? Imagine what could happen on a slider up jump.. or a snivelly subterminal slider up jump.. Ferry
  25. And what about the offheading issue on opening with one toggle blown. I had that system on my first canopy and don't like it now. Get toggles with stiffners and velcro, much better! Ferry
