Risk of spinning mal with g-forces not allowing you to cut-away

Interesting question. I have had a spinning mal with my velocity where I had difficulty cutting away. The G forces were enough to give me tunnel vision. Everything went OK. Here is the real hammer. Last saturday I exited at 5000 ft and pulled after about 5 secs. Hop and pop to practice swooping. After pulling I felt the normal tug of the pilot chute, the start of a snivel and then bamm I suddenly started spinning so violently that the only other thing I could notice was the incredible pressure of blood in my feet. It was almost like a temporary blackout. Thankfully the spinning stopped and I looked up to see a lot of line twists. I do wonder what would have happened if the spinning had not stopped on its own accord. I don't remember doing anything to stop it. I have been thrown around a few times on my velocity but that opening was something really different. B.T.W I do have hard riser inserts. Dave Fallschirmsport Marl -
sorry, I have only flown the Techno 128 twice and the Techno 115 twice. Exit weight is around 78kg. I noticed on the 115 there was not a lot of play in flare, but I landed all of my reserve rides standing and with my handles either in my jump suit or in my teeth Dave Fallschirmsport Marl

Yesterday (Sunday) The winds were at a calm 15 - 25 knot range. We had 55 kts at exit alitude resulting in over a mile of freefall drift which had to be calculated into the drop run. I did 5 jumps on that day I must admit setting up for the gates for the swoop was trickey, but I got a good few crosswind swoops in. The rest I won't mention here Dave Fallschirmsport Marl

Probaly my bad word choice. I've lived so long in Germany I am beginning to forget my English. What I mean is that an AAD does not do anything that your are aware of until you are low and fast enough to activate it. For me, a jump with an AAD provides no more peace of mind than a jump without one. Dave Fallschirmsport Marl

Generally, when free fliers exit they do not present as much surface area to the relative wind as belly fliers. Therefore, the speed they have from the plane flying forward is not reduced as quickly leading to more forward throw. Dave Fallschirmsport Marl

Sadley, you will find that on any one load, that only a very small percentage of the jumpers have any clue on how to calculate how much seperation is needed. I am not worried at all about my AAD not firing when it should, after all, I won't be around to worry about it afterwards. I am more worried about it firing when it should not. Having seen personally so many jumps where it did not fire, it means I am happy to use it. I have seen at least 2 saves live, so I think if I am stupid, it might help. What I am trying say is priorities. 1. Is it safe to use. If it is.... 2. Can it be useful. Dave Fallschirmsport Marl

Err, yep that's the one. Paul Kokou is the attorney who will arrange for millions to come my way. He is pretty well hooked at the moment. If I can coax a picture out of him I will post it here. Part of what got me started was the number of people here who were approached via scammers from the DZ.com classifieds. I thought it's time to fight back. Thanks everyone for their offerings. I agree with your post almost entirely. I would just make the qualification that if I could not find my deployment device beause it was not in the spandex pouch, I would wonder why the main had not opened and cutaway before pulling reserve. Dave Fallschirmsport Marl

There is little point having profiles if some makes the claim they have been in the sport 12 years yet in their profile it states 1 year.
