Cool. Do you guys think agents and managers and all those guys have an impact on whether or not actors and famous athletes jump? Probably do when it comes to big bucks huh? -Richy

Hey Hey Hey. I saw it too. Or maybe that was superman? No... It was him Dez will handle the situation If not Rick Me being a low # too doesn't really do any good but I've seen bad things happen first-hand. Even on a perfect swoop a line could snap. -Richy Nice swoop this sunday Rick. Perfect 10!

Do you think Tom Berrenger and Stephen Baldwin still jump?
dresherr replied to JRock's topic in The Bonfire
I bet they do!!!!!!! Hey Stephen, Dennis, and Tom......if you're out there, let's schedule a 4-way together. I'm Buying!!!! Maxine, I didn't forget about you. Ladies first! -Richy P.S. Marcus, you're welcome to come jump too! It would be an honor. -
Good luck to you in skydiving! It's the best! Wait a while to buy a rig and don't buy anything brand new unless you know you'll be happy with it and won't be downsizing (switching to a smaller canopy) for a long while. When I jumped at first it was a manta, but now I'm confident I'll survive the landing (If I'm very conservative) on a 170. (That is over 100 sq. ft. less than a manta. You'll notice a big difference) They still can be quite scary if you play it the wrong way. Also take into consideration your wing loading and experience. I'm no instructor so don't take my words to heart, but it's safe to say one of your instructors will know what suits you best. Have fun in skydiving, I know I do! -Richy

Top of the Hanger? Please I think it's like this... When I see the little one on the alti...flare! No Lila...that little one means ONE HUNDRED FEET! A little high last time don't you think Lucky it was that manta LOL. No problem picking you up but the whole goal isn't to see how far you can land from the hangar.. someone lied

Hey if you're from michigan you should definitely check out Central Michigan Skydivers located in Mount Pleasant. It's my home DZ and is sweet. I did my student program there and they're always up for newbies to come and get there license. You can search for it under the dropzone link here or PM me and I'll tell you all about it. That's sweet you jumped at Perris. I used to live by there but never jumped there (too young) Well hopefully I'll see you at the DZ, and good luck to your future in skydiving -Richy

We met the other day at CMS and went to the greenspot because we couldn't jump because of high winds. I didn't catch your name but was wondering if you still were up for a hop and pop sometime if you were in the area? I have no way to get a hold of you but I thought I might give DZ.com a shot. Send a shout out If anyone is around Mt. Pleasant anytime come jump. We need more funjumpers!!!

Skychick from Hastings, MI up for a jump?

N/A -
The first diving exit in my course was my 10th jump or also known as an unstable exit. You have the option to roll out into a ball or dive out which usually for us students tends to throw us out unstable. This jump here in the US (on the program I did) is called IAF-4, or Instructor Assisted Freefall Level 4. To answer your question about an A license in skydiving it would be 25 jumps, and other various items including knowledge of all aspects of the sport and canopy control.

A little off the subject but of all the famous actors in skydiving movies, how many of them skydive a lot on the side? Anyone Know? -Richy

I agree 100%. Everyone at the DZ says go for it. The size is perfect. I do well with it being a beginner and all. I just hate to lose my butt in a rig you know. It looks X-cellent to me but what do I know?

I recently got off student status and am looking for a nice rig. One of the guys i jumped with is selling his rig and let me try it out. I loved it! The whole set up is a Sabre 2 170 with about 90 jumps on it. (Excellent Condition) A 170 Reserve (not sure what make) with only 1 ride on it. Just repacked a week ago. Cypres battery is good for one more year, and Cypres itself is good for 3 more I think. It has a Mirage Container with about 300 jumps on it but looks brand spankin new. No RSL but is set up for one. And he is also going to throw in an altimiter, full faced helmet, jumpsuit, and pack to put it in. I was wondering what you guys think this is worth and if it would be a good deal between 3-4K$
