  1. What exact model and date of manufacture is it?
  2. Hi, I would guess that it is probably something wrong with the equipment or the packing. I have 600 tandems where 500 of those are on a Icarus 330 = zero line twists! /D
  3. At deployment, you will have less tension on the bags locking stows because of the bags rotation. It lowers the risk of prematurely breaking the looking stows when the bag is lifted from the container.
  4. Hi Nik My question was in regard to having to supply a zip-code. Zip-codes are usually US-only. I lied and used a New York zip-code but got a error message "SURVEY NOT FOUND". /D
  5. Is it only for US-citizens? /D
  6. There is a old interesting thread about flex-pins here: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=113117;search_string=flex%20pin;#113117 /D
  7. Been living under a rock lately? http://www.unitedparachutetechnologies.com/ http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2478015;search_string=magnetic;#2478015 http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2663825;search_string=magnetic;#2663825 /D
  8. First, I am not a canopy designer. Short answer: Depends on the type of canopy. Changing the brake setting will usually affect snivel, inflation time and heading performance. Do not mess with it if you don't know what your doing
  9. We do tack them. See attached pictures Ahh sorry. I was looking for the wax thread tack that was used before Thanks, /D
  10. Hi, Why doesn't UPT tack the inserts to the riser any more? /D
  11. I can´t believe you didn't mention "Bill Cosby show". I really hated that show
  12. 1980, Kiss with make-up. I was 10 years old and went with my dad, he used ear plugs Iron Maiden did the warm-up show. Best show ever!
  13. It depends on the type of harness and body type. For example, a Sigma student harness usually fits someone around 140cm with a normal body type. OTOH if the torso is short (long legs) it might be a problem. Check with your local TI. With Strong harnesses I have no idea. /D
  14. I did it a few years ago on a spectre, still got neck problems... Don´t try that at home kids!
  15. Are you really sure about this? Did the safety stow break? Was the correct safety stow used? Is it reported to RWS? /D
  16. 15 years in Sweden for AFF or static line. No age for tandems, they just need to fit in the harness. In both cases they need a parents signature if under 18. /D
  17. Most do. To long loop and/or sloppy rigging will do that to a lot of rigs. /D
  18. NO! If you are having good openings with the nose rolled, keep doing it. /D
  19. ***Bump!*** Ok, what is the story behind the photo? /D
  20. Depends on the DZ´s gear. We can take up to 115 kilos at my DZ (Sweden). /D
  21. The reline itself is not a problem. But usually these type of canopys (f-111) are worn out by the time there due for a reline. /D
  22. Is the problem only on Strongs? Strong systems have a bit higher snatch force because of the drough not collapsing until the canopy leaves the bag (if I recall correctly, I´am only certified for V2/Sigma) /D
