Does anyone know when and why they changed to todays procedure? /D
-
It was most probably because you haven't eaten. You can of course get sick anyway, but not eating will definitely get you... I always refuse to take passengers that haven't had anything to eat. I send them away for a snack and water and there good to go. /D

How many jumps on pilot chute? /D
-
That happened to me sometimes before I switched to a new temp pin. The old one had some scratches on it and sometimes damaged the loop. The loop looked fine first but started to fray after a while. Drove me crazy until I found out what the problem was. /D

I have refused because of size and one because of a old neck injury (told him to come back with a doctors note, he never did). Never had any trouble.

Hi, I'm thinking about selling my 160 Lightning but haven't made my mind up yet. How much do you guys think it is worth? It has about 300 jumps. /D
-
Sigma but no skyhook? Cool that you got it on ground video! /D

Sweden is pretty cheap and has OK weather. Pretty cheap to fly to with Ryan Air aswell.
-
If you still have problems in the UK, you dont have to travel all the way to the US. Sweden is close and cheap to travel to with Ryan Air. If you like it a bit warmer, there are good dropzones in Spain aswell. Good luck! /D

Riggers - how many reserve REPACKS and SAVES do you have?
Danne replied to skydiverek's topic in Gear and Rigging
>300 repacks ~9 saves To lazy to dig through my loggbooks for an accurate count right now. /D -
I'm sorry if I came out a bit harsh... But, a CCI that doesn't understand the safety problems with putting freeflyers out first really needs to get educated about this, or stop being a CCI. This is not something to be taken lightly. The "dz.com norm" as you put it is not just dz.com´s, but 99% of all dropzones in the world. It´s a good thing that you don´t take everything from the internet for granted, but listen to Kallend, he is a physics professor (I think). Think about it. Never stop learning. Good luck, /D

If your CCI believes that, I will never jump at Hinton! /D

Zero in 1300 jumps. (knocking wood) /D

The SAM 150 will probably pack more like a Hornet 170 because of the airlocks. /D

They work OK. Just make sure you dont overload them. We had an incident this summer where a Decelerator 120 loaded with 90 kilos stalled when flared. It stalled when the toggels were at about shoulder hight. It was clearly overloaded but not all reserv designs behave like this. /D

I call bullshit! I checked with PD what kind of PC they recommend for about 3 months ago. They recommended 30" F-111 kill line pilot chutes! On the other hand, If you mean F-111 bungy chord kill line pilot chutes, thats totally different. They do loose calibration and are not recommended. /D

What does that mean? /D

Get a new packer I have done 300 jumps now on my private Icarus 330 and only had one linetwist. Tip: Just look up and see what way the canopy is heading and what direction you want to untwist. Now just stick your hand and leg out on the appropriate side and grab as much air as you can. Since Icarus tandems open in full drive, the higher airspeed will make you start turning and help you untwist. Hope this makes sense? /D

Well, a normal opening on a BT-60 is usually pretty hard
-
No, not always! It might even make the problem worse. Check with the manufacturer. /D
-
It will happen if you set your brakes like wrong.jpg. Set them like ok.jpg instead. /D PS. "fel" and "Rätt" is Swedish and means wrong and correct.
-
176 if I remember correctly. /D

Why do you put high pullers/solos and AFF after freeflyers? My logic would put them before freeflyers because they fall slower and drift more. You are never sure what altitude they pull at anyway and AFF-instructers pull at normal altitude dont they? Am I missing something? /Dan

Does anyone have the manual for the five-cell with the weird brakes? Please send me a copy if you have. Thanks, Daniel

Thanks, Does anyone have a working website or email? /Daniel
