  4. *BUMP* Just confirming that Inside Hollister SyZyGy will be in Lodi on Monday 21st June. We hope to start jumping at 9am and Bill has said he'll fly the otter if we have enough people so please join us and support your local 4-way team.
  5. Our 4-way team is based in Northern California and we're trying to get some otter jumps in the coming months. We all have commitments on Saturdays and Sundays and so we'd like to do a couple of Mondays at Lodi. We'd need to get a bunch of skydivers there so Bill will fly the otter. Are there any teams out there interested in meeting in Lodi for some otter training? Or maybe some folks who'd like to be there for fun jumps. The first day we're looking at is Monday June 21st and we plan to do more, especially as the Nationals get close. Also, we're flexible and can do other weekdays if needed. Please message, email or phone me anytime. Thanks! 6. Hi Jeff, Thanks for offering to come out and jump. I've spoken with Bill and he'll fly any plane as long as there's butts on seats. If we can't get enough to fill the otter then the beech will do. At the nationals we'll be jumping otters and it would be really helpful for us to be able to train in one. The beech has a similar size door but there are some differences like: prop blast, airspeed and the inside configuration (which could affect the way we climb out). If we can't fill the otter, the beech is the next best thing. Thanks again and we'll keep you updated. Kath
  7. We are a 4-way team in NorCal and we're trying to get together at a dz with an otter a few times in the coming months. We all have commitments on Saturdays and Sundays and so we'd like to do a couple of Mondays at Lodi. We'd need to get a bunch of skydivers there so Bill will fly the otter though. Are there any teams out there interested in meeting in Lodi for some otter training? Or maybe you know some folks who'd like to be there for fun jumps. How should I go about it? ________________________________ My candle burns at both ends It will not last the night; But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends - It gives a lovely light. http://www.galaxygear.com.au/
  8. Of course Steve had to ride in the cockpit to spot for us. When the doors opened and I looked down my first thought was "If I fall out now I'm f*#cked!" When I saw Bolado golf course underneath me the angels did sing!

  10. Our 6th person has just cancelled. Unless we can find one more person in the next couple of hours we'll have to sit and watch it fly off with a load of whuffos waving and hooting at us Anyone, anyone??
  11. Yep it's the Collings Foundation B-17 and B-24 that are in Hollister today and tomorrow. You can walk through them for $8. I'm definitely doing the walk through, they are just amazing. Actually, someone mentioned that this B-17 is the only one still airworthy anywhere.
  12. Yes it is tax deductible, you'll get a 5013c(?) receipt. A percentage of the profits is going to charity. I just did a walk through, took a look at those bomb bay doors and confirmed that they will be removing the bombs before the jump. Unless of course you want to ride one out . 13. Folks we have 5 confirmed right now and 1 who will try and make it. We need 6 confirmed to make it go. Most of us will never get the chance to jump a B17 again. You know you want to! 1-800-FUN-JUMP
