Best ever ... STONES Philadelphia Voodoo Lounge Tour. They were amazing. Judy

Wow. You are amazing, my friend! Hope your dream comes true! Judy

I Play! In fact if anyone gets to NE PA, you can come play at my golf course. It's just 10 miles from the DZ! Judy

My husbands first car was (his parents) 66 GTO. So, I bought him one for his 50th birthday and he's spent the past two years restoring it. He can't decide if his favorite birthday present was his first tandem (into his party) or the GTO! Judy

Life insurance for skydivers
judyindeskys replied to SadSue's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Ask your agent. I'm OK with my policy because it was taken out two years before I started skydiving. Judy -
I'm not sure if this will help, but you may already have credit established. Banks call these things "alternative forms of credit". Do you pay rent? If so, your landlord can sign a VOR (verification of rent). Do you have utilities in your name? Arm yourself with account numbers & customer service numbers. Do you have a cell phone or internet connection? If you can come up with a combination of three of any of the above and you have a history of paying them on time, take that to your bank, sit down with a representative and present your case. You should also consider taking your W-2s or income tax returns for the past two years. I sell real estate in an area with many immigrants who pay cash for almost everything, and yet with alternative forms of credit, have worked with many banks and been successful in getting conventional mortgages (as little as 5% down and at current rates - no catches!) 100% of the time. Good luck! Hope this helps. Judy

Gary, it works! I lost 20 lbs of fat and gained alot of muscle in 12 weeks. The most difficult part of the plan is working out 6 days a week. The payoff is great and the three days you do cardio is only 20 minutes, but what a great workout in 20 minutes. I just started my second 12 weeks. Good luck. Let me know how you do. judyindeskys

Risk management, skydiving and driving...
judyindeskys replied to fudd's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hey Fireflyer! I think Dyevout is doing AFF in Hazleton with the Above the Poconoc Skydivers. I haven't met him yet, but that's where I'm doing mine, too. Come on over to NE PA sometime! As far as risk management while driving, I think my driving is worse since I started skydiving. I drive a convertible and I am constantly driving around looking for jump planes. One of the hazards of living 10 minutes from my DZ! Judy -
My Dad was in the final stages of colon cancer when my husband did his first tandem. Dad was heavily dosed with morphine when he watched the video. Don Kellner was on the load with my husband and when he opened the door and jumped before my husband, my Dad turned to us and very seriously asked "Was that the pilot?" It was one of the last truely great laughs we had with Dad before he died. judy

I have one son Patrick age 24 ... and he's the most AWESOME kid in the world

Did my first tandem the day before my 45th birthday and started AFF two months later. My husband did his first tanden for his 50th birthday and is getting ready to start AFF in spring. Does that make us Moms & Pops? judy

Oh, Skycat! That hurt. I guess I didn't mention I was 5 when I got married. Well maybe 19, so 45 isn't really THAT old ... is it??? Judy

That sucks! If your parents are fixed (or low) income, many cities have assistance available for emergencies like this. It would be better if you didn't give them money until they check into this. If they deposit your money into their account, it could disqualify them from some programs. Tell them to contact their local housing authority. Good Luck! I hope there is help available. Judy

We took up skydiving together last summer and are both in AFF now just waiting for Spring! Married 27 years and it gets more interesting every year! We are really having fun doing this together. Judy
