  4. i agree -- IT DEPENDS ON THE KIDS. being an office bitch, the not-so-wonderful kids usually get dumped onto me while the parents are in the sky. well, i'm glad the parents are supporting the DZ but when they are B-A-D kids and/or need constant attention, that's where i draw the line..... see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  5. SO ARE YOU GONNA GIVE US SOME MORE DETAILS??????? date, time, jump price, shenanigans see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com

  7. Based on my experience -- Tony Suits are quality, especially if you're wanting a "below-the-knee" capri/pant/whatever you wanna call it. Don't know much about FireFly or Ouragon though ...good luck! see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  8. THE ANSWER IS EASY: do whatever seems fun (within reason ) First, you need to be proficient & safe (i.e. good @ tracking no matter what discipline). Also, I know chest mounts can get caught in your burbel (sp?) so I would recommend having a visual & aduible altimeters.... basic safety things like that Trying to sit-fly doesn't mean you have to freefly every jump. Become good @ both, or really work @ 1 particular discipline.... feel it out! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  9. The reggae/pop/rock/WhAtEvEr song by No Doubt.... all I know is the freakin annoying part where she sings "you're really lovely underneath it all" :) shoot me see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  10. i like #2 -- #1 and #3 aren't bad either, but i like symmetry (so i'd prefer two wings to one). BUT I THINK YOU SHOULD GET WHAT YOU REALLY LIKE after all.... it's your body! Send pictures of it! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  11. Shouldn't the parents have some accountibility/responsiblity -- CONSEQUENCES -- for their behavior? What shall we do then? Become a society that sacrifices human lives (or fetus's, depending on your viewpoint) for sexual "pleasure"? ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  12. Honestly, if I felt someone was truly capable & safety-oriented, I would not mind having coaching from them. Obviously, every circumstance varies. I would MOST DEF value experiene over jump # (quality NOT quantity). I think trying to TEACH/COACH skydiving is rough -- it's very hard to put into words, sensations and experiences in this sport! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  13. KELLY KEENEY -- where are you????????? This is acreaming your name Although, the other person would be getting shafted, seeing as how you don't have a car. muahahahaha ANYONE GOING TO APPLY? I feel like most people skydiving are older than 20 ????????????????????????? see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  14. Make a cross formation in the sky..... see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  15. BECAUSE YOU SPEND YOUR WHOLE STUDENT PROGRESSION ON YOUR BELLY.... gotta break away from the uniformity
  16. Sunshine Factory in Z-Hills & other large gear stores have sporty goggles that typically look like sunglasses (and are tinted).... that's a start! *hope that helps* ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  17. i would recommend taking time off if thats how you are beginning to feel... maybe a break will affirm your passion for skydiving. you can ALWAYS get back into the sport
  18. HONESTLY, i am in no way qualified to talk, but common sense would tell me to ARCH MORE to get down there..... ......but everyone seems to be saying you have the better track :) ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  19. hey -- you learned -- that's an improvement in itself. With experience (more sit-flying / tunnel time) you'll get there.... i'm sure you're still better than me ...KeEp YoUr ChIn Up! see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  20. hmmm.... thats helpful to know P.S. yes, i'm an idiot and did not mean "sq. ft." see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  21. oooohhhhhh that gives me jitters just thinking about that situation of 2 canopies out..... ....i have seen many replies stating something to the effect of "as long as i was NOT heading towards an obstacle, i would not touch anything" BUT WHAT IF YOU ARE?! it seems likely to me that there will be tons of obstacles -- my DZ is 800 sq. ft. of field, but landing off still means houses, power lines, bardbed wire fences, trees, corn, etc. it seems like by the time you realize your path and where you will potentially land, it would be unsafe to touch anything, BUT JUST AS UNSAFE to fly aimlessly... ** thoughts / comments / concerns?! ** ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  22. tried to freefly with the big kids, knowing my ability level...... bad idea = wrap see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  23. Colon Berry has.... NOT SURE.... around 9,000+ jumps and packs his own chute/has not had one to my knowledge.... i'm sure there's others! see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  24. even YEARS after i dislocated my knee & broke my ankle in 2 spots, a bad or atypical landing will still send a shot of pain through or will make it tender through out the day..... .... i would give it 1 more week (@ least) to be sure that #1 you're healed enough and #2 to consider all the factors involved (i.e., reinjuring, currency, etc.) HaVe A gOoD 1! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  25. I see where NapaGuy is coming from.... PLUS think of it like this.... you being the "new guy" (or girl) and you walk around introducing yourself & ask to get on a 4-way. I could picture the group being a bit hesitant to accept because WHO KNOWS THIS PERSON'S EXPERIENCE LEVEL?! (and rightfully so). However, the group *might* accept the newbie because they want to welcome him/her to the DZ I think it would seem less on-the-spot for the 4-way to approach the newbie, strike up a conversation, and invite him/her for a jump after making a conscious effort to know the person's skill level. I would think it would be more safety-conscious for the home team to approach the newbie as opposed to the other way around.... ...but that's just a blind assumption on my part see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
