  1. yes they were "gifts" intended for him. however, it is pre-christmas & have not been given to him yet. i guess what's hard about it is i make $7,000 a year, so i'm a tightwad when it comes to my money...... i mean i could use the $40 he smashed to cover my gas to get my things. ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  2. you're so self-controlled but i'm not talking $5 owed..... he smashed my X-Mas gifts to him which totals @ least $40, not to mention the other various expenditures........ Either way, I need to travel down there because he has a few items i'd really like back & MY FREAKING RIG! so what you're saying is, just take my things on the set date (Friday)....... end of story? ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  3. ......best served cold HELP! my boyfriend & i have just broken up on awful terms, he is/was extremely hostile & informed me of the 3 people he slept with while dating me. he said i need to drive to his house (TWO hours away 1 direction) & retrieve my belongings by THIS Friday evening (the 23rd). i've floated him so much $ that i feel like i need to recover some . since he obviously won't fork out the cash, i am more than willing to take it. QUESTION #1: should i drop by the house while he's @ work (door is rarely locked but has a roommate) & take all the spare change i can find? wait til he's present so i can "borrow" the check card from his wallet? should i even attempt driving the 4 hrs. total -- i meant what if he's NOT at work? QUESTION #2: WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MY SWEET REVENGE, once @ his house? obviously, these answers will be based upon the answer to Q #1..... pranks already being considered: ~~laxatives + drink = no fun ~~super glue on the doorknobs ~~using his toothbrush to floss my bum ~~replacing his deodorant w/cream cheese THANKS FOR YOUR ADVICE PEOPLE! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  4. WHoA....... I never thought of that!!!! That is bullshit! I guess it's just a bonus for the employees that the corporate offices are closed on Christian holidays. It's a double-edged sword 'cause you can't deny them their religion observances but you can't remain open on X-Mas day for a few people to "make-up". How does that work?!?!?!?!???? ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  5. i agree w/everyone who's asking: did he/she make any previous attempts? it would almost seem to be slander if the customer was bitching up a storm without ever voicing concern.... ....but ASSUMING he/she is not keeping management in the dark about his/her concerns & complaints, the customer had every right to post it (in my opinion). i know if i went to an unsafe DZ or felt like i was being shafted, i certainly would share w/ other jumpers so they could learn from my experience & mistake(s). it's up to the jumpers to keep businesses honest in this sport ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  6. hmmmm....... still don't quite get it but i am awful @ math. rl~ how did you figure that out, or is it something you discovered in school? VERY COOL THOUGH! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  7. hey genius! back in the day (to be vague) Static Line was the most popular & commonly accepted method of training. please tell me this is SARCASM & not ignorance mixed with arrogance on your part.......... ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  8. then why do you still list your Pink Mafia & Rodriguez Bros. #s? ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  9. As a teacher, OBVIOUSLY yes I'd correct it. The difference here is the poster is an ADULT (who probably is not in school anymore) ranting about the incorrect spelling from other ADULTS on here -- not students. I stand by the argument that writing's sole purpose is for communication, and although people on here (and in general) misspell a lot, we can all still understand the post....... that was the point i was trying to make i think you were mistaking the context of what i said. ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  10. being a teacher i have a HUGE problem with your headline..... what about "the educational faults of" PARENTS who produce/do not support the "faulty" students?! the whole point of writing is for communicating. while it is incorrect spelling/semantics to write "your" instead of "you're" i think you can still perceive the meaning.... can't you? purpose served. do you honestly believe that teachers are to blame for people who 1) did not pay attention in school (therefore, never learned correct grammar) or 2) do not concern themselves with investing in written language? even if there is are scenarios #3, 4, 5..... yes teachers are responsible for teaching the curriculum, but it's like the proverb: "Teachers open the door. You enter by yourself." ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  11. HANDS DOWN angelina jolie..... see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  12. i wouldn't risk jumping with something SO expensive (the insulin pump) on..... it may not become lost, but broken is much more probable. as the far as the dr's note (for WFFC) it wouldn't hurt. diabetes certainly does not alter you psychologically so i doubt anyone would even bring it up. the thing to be careful about is drinking alcohol/sweating profusely to the point that your sugars are really low. BEST OF LUCK! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  13. THANKS SO MUCH! that was sooo helpful! i was checking out the pics online ..... looks fantastic. will you be going to the boogie in '06? thanks again! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  14. ....so is it typically cheaper to stay in a neighboring town then? Tigra, how did you get ahold of the travel agent who hooked you up w/ the direct charter? THANKS SO MUCH for all the info everyone.... yes, i will def invest in floatation gear ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  15. i'm already looking @ flights to Ixtapa, Mexico for Skydive Chicago's boogie.... but before i overwhelmed staff w/ all my Q's i was hoping for some help: * if you've been, where did you stay? is roughing it an option? * was there flotation gear available to rent/how much? * how were the spots & landing area (i'll be 3 months uncurrent when i go) * overall, whad ya think? THANKS! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  16. so many Social D fans..... cool..... and i believe they're getting back on the road again Ring Of Fire is a GREAT remix! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  17. i think it's funny (ironic) how most people with ZERO ratings just want a coach and/or pro......... very, very interesting
  18. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! -- all students are scary (including watching them land!) for that reason ^ i would *maybe* consider a Coach rating because the students are a tad more experienced..... doubtful though! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  19. just wondering what the reason is: 1) don't need to be staff to have jump funds? 2) students are potential "killers" 3) you have fun jumping with friends 4) you plan on it, just waiting for enough experience/jump #s personally, i enjoy the freedom of being able to get on a load whenever with whoever i want. i admire those who give back to the sport constantly (by working with students) but for me, i'm just content love freeflying right now.... ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  20. RANDOM Q: are there any more organizers added to the list from the original on pg. 1? sounds very cool! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  21. i think EVERYONE should try serving once in their life -- it teaches valuable skills. i used to be the kid who mixed the ketchup with the leftovers & made nasty "potions", but now i totally try to stack everything neatly PROs: have the potential to make bank, more social work, getting free/discounted meals, can ALWAYS pick up shifts for extra hours CONs: majority is tips, inconsistency (i.e. make $80 with dinner, then a $20 lunch), the busiest times are probably when you would wanna be with your family (I DUNNO, DO U HAVE KIDS?) or weekends (during skydiving time!) good luck! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  22. instead of what COULD you pierce, i've always wondered what CAN'T you pierce/staple? hmmm..... ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  23. if you've not been to "THE" Richmond boogie i would highly suggest going! they have.... #1) some impressive aircraft + organizing lined up #2) free beer [i believe every night] + dinner #3) all kinds of demos or you could jump a round #4) the forecast is SUNNY & CLEAR for Thursday through Labor Day #5) you'll meet all kinds of rockin' people there! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  24. hey thanks... that was kinda what i was thinking of. are these just compiled from fatalities filed in Parachutist?! good suggestions too! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
  25. YES i totally agree with you! it seems in my area (Ohio/Indiana/Penn.) the DZs all seem to be relatively similar in aircraft/# of experienced jumpers. Just wondering if there is a place where it is all documented. Thanks for the insight though! ~hollywood see the world! http://gorocketdog.blogspot.com
