I'm a 55 jump wonder but it has always "tickled" me a little bit about the macho types. Hell, I was starting to feel the fear in ground school lol. It's funny though, the further I got into the AFF program, the more freaked out I became. There were two instances where I have ridden the plane down. Well three, counting a post license jump where the clouds told me "no" lol. There was a time where that would have had me so ashamed, I wouldn't have ever shown my face again. Well, I figured at my age I couldn't give a shit about what I perceived what others may have been saying. I kept plugging inspite of my fear.....my fear was the number one obstacle in my not being stable (spinning).....I had to do my C-2 jump five times.......things did get better. Damn near every weekend driving to the DZ I was praying that we didn't jump, the weather would be bad or what have you. Gotta hand it to both the supportive staff and the regulars at my DZ........they encouraged me every step of the way. Now, no one can keep me from jumping......I'm having the most fun I've ever had in my life. I've always, and still do, after hearing some dude after his first jump saying "it wasn't the rush he had expected" or "it didn't do anything for him", etc.... particulary in front of his girlfreind or wife,.........I always say to myself "Bullshit".

Not surprising. Cops can't be purposely missing due to stray civilians, accountability, etc. Unfortunately, a good number of them aren't the world's best shot. I've often been to a range where cops shoot and some for qualification.......sad sight.......especially for those who don't often practice.

Many reasons already posted...................I particularly agree with one being weak. There are those out there who have done so out of being extremely insecure about themselves............and validation is needed by someone other than their SO's. As bad as cheating, maybe worse, are those who lie their fucking ass's off after having been caught as not to lose their SO or to "tarnish" their warped sense of their reputation...........

I don't know really...........the logic in that isn't too sound to me....no rhyme nor reason relative to question as a whole. On a personal note, I don't believe in abortions either. For this particular lady.....I have extremely mixed feelings...........tube being pulled, who is to say she will not suffer from hunger, etc.....extremely delicate call.

Your right...in a lot of those cases it doesn't work........I've seen a case or two where it has................ when the right person got a hold of them.......and was thanked for it........not a common occurance.

Amen to that! It was nothing to see a teacher slap the shit out of a kid.......kid would straighten up..........parents would deal out worse.....I turned out fine. I got what I deserved because I freakin knew better, period.

I am passing this on to you because it has definitely worked for me. By following the simple advice I read in an article I have finally found inner peace. It reads: "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things that you have started." I looked around to see all the things I started and hadn't finished......So today, I have finished one bottle of white wine, a bottle of red wine, a bottle of Baileys, my Prozac, a large box of chocolates and a quart of beer.
