I often wondered what it would be like for quite a while, but never had a "burning intrest". This past November while driving home from being out of town, I passed Skydive Suffolk and saw their sign from the highway. At that moment I told myself that's what I want to do. Either that evening or early the next day, I got on the internet and found a DZ a bit closer to home and gave them a call. Two days later, I made my first tandem......was hooked and enrolled in the AFF Program. Although I only have 10 jumps (bad winter), I can say the only regret I have is that I didn't start earlier.

I understand about getting used "stuff" for us taller guys.........but I lucked out on a second hand RW suit as the guy from whom I bought it from is the same height. I'm 6'4" and 217 lbs.

Hang tight! I know a lady who lost everything, job, family and freedom who made a mistake and landed in jail. She served her time and after release she could only get "shitty paying" jobs that no one else wanted.................she persevered. After about six years of that and never giving up she now earns nearly $100,000 a year. Anything is possible if you possess the desire, go throught the bad times and never give up.

The biggest pet peeve I have concerning the internet is the "boldness" with which some write, comment or respond whereby in real life they wouldn't dare...................but that's me.

Finally, this past Sunday I was cleared for Level D after several attempts for C-2 (1JM Release). I can hardly believe that something "simple" as relaxation would not sink in - but it clicked and was fun. I have never enjoyed a skydive as much as I did this one......the relaxation made everything better. Also, my thanks to you good folks of West Point.
