My SO is a whuffo but bless his heart, he knows how much it means to me. Some days when I don't even plan on going to the DZ he'll just look at me and tell me to get my ass to the airport. Otherwise I'll just be staring at the sky all day wishing I was there. I have a friend who would cry when she was pulled over. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I could never muster tears because I was too pissed off for being pulled over! Now I've about decided it's almost worth it to just pay the ticket. I hate that Defensive Driving Course!! I went to my ten year reunion and had a blast! I hadn't seen some of those people since graduation. I didn't even recognize some of the people I was friends with in HS! Some of them were fat, or bald, and some of them looked really old. I remember thinking, "They couldn't have graduated with me, they're old!" It was a hoot! Do not wear your goggles loose! On my first AFF jump I thought I had them tight enough in the plane but the minute I was out of the plane they popped up on my forehead. I didn't even try to fix them but I remember thinking, "Man, if I hit a bug, I'm screwed!!!" Here's the deal. I've been skydiving for about a year now and I've yet to tell my family. Since I'm going for a visit this weekend I thought I'd break it to them then. I'm fine with rear risers now that I'm on a smaller canopy and practice with them on a regular basis. I still have a hard time with front risers though. I can do front riser turns (with plenty of altitude) if I flare then release and grab my front risers. Would you waive the double front riser approach for insufficient strength? As a student I was under a huge canopy and could barely do my turns with rear risers (I did do them but with great effort).
