I was just asking someone the other day and he said the same thing and he already has a list of people wanting them.He did say it would be a better product than the pro-track and planned on getting one himself.

Is it hard to get to sleep the night after 1st jump

I did this also,but what was bad is I found myself doing it with no one else in the room. My wife thought I was laughing at the T.V. or the computer.What I like now is when I run into a whuffo I think about that first jump and refuse to tell them what it is like.I know they won't get it even if I did try to explain "how it feels" Later Don -
My hop-n-pop I went to 5,000'.I jumped out got stable and pulled.It was a lot more fun than I had expected.It is a very short ride to 5,000' and since I was about 4,000' under canopy I was able to do some canopy work that I needed to get signed off on my proggression card.I believe I have to do two of these before I can try for the A liscense.

My aff1 I had this very thing happen to me.The JM wanted me to pull high since the spot was long,I seen the pull sign but took it that I was supposed to check the other JM ,a second had passed and it registered that I was supposed to pull instead it threw me off because I new we were not at lock-on altitude yet.I don't know if a different signal would change anything but like billvon said it has a tendency to make people look where you are pointing instead of pulling. wow I really need to check these post before I throw them up on the board sorry for the confusing mispelled post

Thanks guys I did buy a case for the DZ that night couldn't even stay to savor one though.Not to worry though I'm sure I will owe quite a bit this summer.I will make sure not to have any other plans and celebrate with the guys that help me get where I am at now.Man I love this shit!!!!!! Later Don

Andy I am really new to this sport so don't rely on this advice but I was just talking to an instructor yesterday about this and she said they sell padding for the helmets so that you can change to your specific feel.Like I said I am new so do not take this as sound advice just as hearsay. yeah baby i am on my own now just need to practice,practice,practice did my hop n pop from 5000' didn't even realize it was my graduation jump until I landed and they told me.I would like to thank all TM,JM,coaches you guys risk your life so that new people like me can get into this sport you guys are awesome if not for you guys I would not be on my way to an "A". Thanks guys it is a dangerous job just so someone else can have fun.YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!! Peace Out Don

thanks to all who replied.I did see on a web site that the portable that is coming is not supposed to be a typical portable they say its a more solid column of air but its still getting bugs worked out I don't think it has even had a flier in there yet.I will wait and see what it is like before spending any cash on it and when it does get there I will update this post and let all of you know how it is. I had this problem which was self inflicted.The aff1 and 2 was this way I would look at it but not really register where I was.It took some practice and now I see what altitude I am at not the alti. itself if that makes any sence at all Later on Don

Andy I wore glasses for 25 or more years after my first tandem I decided to get my first pair of contacts simply because it was less cumbersome(I had large frames) I now wear contacts which can have their own problems but seem to be easier to deal with.I also take my glasses and a spare set of lenses(I too use those daily wear throw away contacts)I have made only 6 jumps with them but no troubles as of yet I just make sure goggles are good and tight. thanks for the quick replies.I am hoping the tunnel that is coming will not be an amusement ride but a legit learning tool.It seems that it will be quite helpful given it is well coached I do not have any info as to who owns or who will be coaching the tunnel but will keep you guys updated when it gets there and how useful it is or if it is just a toy and a waste of time Thanks again Don

THIS IS NOT A TROLL POST!!!There is word of a wind tunnel coming to my DZ this summer.I mentioned this to an instuctor and he said most tunnels are around $25/min. is that a close assumption?My other question is at that price would I be better off just buying the jumps and getting the canopy experience that I also need since I have low jump numbers.I am on aff 5 and I have a slight left turn.I talked with my JM and he thinks my legs are spread to far and feet position( 1 being lower or higher than the other) could be the cause of the turn.The levels only get more intense so I would like to catch this turn problem asap so that it does not become an extreme problem for me.Thanks for reading and any input that might follow...............Don

Today was my first release jump up until this jump I was happy with my performance.The dive felt very combative,jerky and unstable during debreif I mention I felt that the dive didn't seem very good to me my JM then said it was because I was so ridged and tense I didn't feel it but he did, so I was then on a 5 min. call hurried and got ready (only 1 JM this jump) and just tried to stay as relaxed as possible and not worrying so much on passing to next level.The dive went great went solo right after exit and had the best jump yet.Have fun,relax and it will all fall into place Peace Don

I'm glad I didn't own the suit I jumped with today it was a mess when I handed them their suit back,muddy with a big hole in it.Sure wilol be nice when I get these windy landings down Peace Don
