Is it possible to upload a video to your myspace page? I am not on it but got an email from a tandem video customer wondering how to do it. Any ideas? Thanks! "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me

Lost Prairie 2007 40th Anniversary Boogie

Hmmm. Shell, correct me if I'm wrong, but has there ever been a dz.com load at LP, let alone a record there? After all, this is the big 40.. Sounds like maybe... "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me -
Do they work on older bikes at all? Mine is a '93... "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me

Here's the deal. I've already gotten screwed over by one Houston area bike shop (Suzuki Tomball...don't EVER take your bike there, you will get it back in worse shape than you took it there in!). I now have my bike and carb assembly sitting in pieces in my garage I need to find a good, reputable Suzuki shop in the Houston area to go to. I need my carb re-assembled, re-jetted, and my bike put back together. Can anybody here recommend a good shop (or another shop to avoid)? Any help would be great. Cheers! I know that MadJohn and I will be there. Mike Burrill will probably be there, too. There are usually a few other birds there the duration of the boogie. Last year we got a nice little 2-way smoke flock (me and MadJohn)...we want to do more this year. "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me

Can anybody here recommend a good chiropractor on the north side of Houston, or tell me who NOT to see? Please send me a PM with any info you have. Thanks! "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me

I found some, but because I don't personally listen to it, it's hard to get a "vision" of what will work/where it will work on the video "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me

Yeah, it kinda sucks. There is one tandem instructor that usually puts them up to it 'cuz he knows I don't have any and I don't care for it. There have been a fair amount of customers that say that they only listen to it. Being here in Houston I can understand it, but it still doesn't make me any happier about it. I don't HAVE to use it, but I like to try to havce something to offer all of my customers. Thanks to everybody who has offered songs..I will check into them. Are there any country songs that are moderately decent for editing tandem vids to? I am now living/jumping in Texas, have NEVER listened to country, and have had more requests for it from customers in the last two months than I had in 3 years. Any help would be great. Thanks again! Are you using DVD/R or DVD/RW? Where do you get this brand? I have not heard of them before... "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me

My DVD burner just died after 3 hard years of use. If you had to get a new one NOW (no time for shipping) that had a fast finalizing period, what would you get? I was going to get one with an internal hard drive, but they take too long to write the info to the disc and then finalize... On that note of tradition, I nominate Turtle to sing a solo during the Cocks about, well, you know It won't ever be as good as Joel's last year, but I have faith in him! "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me -

Fred, Leni, Mikey and Lena- Our thoughts, prayers and vibes are with you. Stay strong and know that you have a strong support group from all over the country and Canada. The LP family will stand together to help you get through this, as well as the families of those lost. Please share our condolences with them as well...they need it just as much as you do. I'm going to be brave and get this thread going again, despite what has happened recently. It's hard to think of the Prairie with an uncomplete family, but now we have something else to look forward to this year...ONE HELL OF A KICK ASS PARTY!!! You know that it's what the two instructors would want, so let's give them one. Anybody with me on this one? Michelle, if you're out there, send me a PM. I would like to chat with you for a bit...don't worry, it's a good thing. -Sprout/Grillo/Stacey "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me

That's good to know. I was wondering about what to do if I had to reformat my card each jump. What do you do in the case of a back-to-back and you have two or more separate jumps to pull? Have you ever had any problems of the pics not transfering to the disc and then erasing them from the card before you realise it? Thanks a ton for the info...it's giving me some stuff to think about. Let me re-phrase this question. I have a digital Rebel XT. The only method I have to pulls stills is at home on my PC. I need something for the dz to perform this function and don't want to spend $600 on a cheap laptop because I would rather buy a nice one when I have the $$. What is the feed-back on these self-contained units (like the one you mentioned you use at Rayford)? Are they easy to use? Is there any kind of a display screen so that you can select what pics you take from the card to put on the cd, or does it take the most recently shot pics and automatically transfer them? (SkyMonkey...I've moved from CO to TX. I'm down here were all the cool birdies hang out. Maybe I can actually have somebody to fly with when I'm not busy flying vids ) "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me
-
Thanks for making it a clicky. Do you use this unit or know anybody who does? "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me
-
Does anybody here use a method other than a laptop or PC to pull their stills and put onto a cd? A friend told me about a self supporting unit that takes the stills from flash card and transfers them directly to a disc. http://aleratec.com/diphcocrdifl.html (sorry, I don't know how to make it a clicky) Can anybody offer suggestions on units like this or offer some kind of alternative way to pull stills without a computer? I don't want to buy a used, cheap laptop for the dz just for this purpose... Thanks! "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me

I have checked the forecast several times today and they all seem to be different www.weather.com is saying: Saturday: mostly cloudy, high 49 Sunday: snow showers, high 38 When in doubt, call the dz @ 719-522-9300 for a weather update. Now, as far as making fun of a newbie? We don't do that because we all remember what it was like to only have an A-license. We have quite a few newbies, and quite a few coaches coming out to jump the caravan. In other words, we'll get you taken care of! Right now the forecast is calling for low 50's on Saturday and low to mid 40's on Sunday. You'd better be there... "I don't know where it is that I'm going, but wherever it is there I'll be!" --quoted by me
