This worked for me: Go to the TSA website and download the page or two addressing the carry-on of parachute / skydiving equipment. Then on to the airport with TSA copied docs in hand. Through the TSA line and I was stopped and told no such skydiving rig could be carried on the aircraft it must be checked. So I whipped out...c’mon folks....a copy of the TSA pages from the website authorizing this and bingo! Right on through I went.
