    what kind of shots? normal student landings? normal tandem landings? pond swoop?, normal swoop? as a camera canon 300, 350 (Xt, XTi) or 400 or Nikon D70 or D80 are absolute more than enough for landning shots (as a begginer) now wehn it comes for lens, u can use the normal 18-55 lens for everything but ofcourse you will not get the best results ------------------------- "jump, have fun, pull"

    first... in skydiving job nothing is for sure... there are a lot of european dropzones very busy during the summer. you can email them and ask them if they need a hand. working as a packer is a very hard job but the money are probably the best on a DZ... you have to think if working as a packer is what you really want... working 12+ hours without time for skydiving that`s the job on a busy DZ ------------------------- "jump, have fun, pull"

    first jump on a new DZ in Italy... no briefing of the zone... i was stupid enough to jump first without looking down before... (jump number 65) jump... all good... open.... looking around... no canopies on the sky... just me... a highway and some powerlines... decide to land in a garden... where a nice old woman start to scream in italian "ma che fai ragazzo"... that something like... what the hell are u doing ... i tried to explain that i come from the sky and i want to go back to dz but nothing... after half an hour i got a car and back to the dz nice experience ------------------------- "jump, have fun, pull"

    we can find what Nick said in maretus answer (including assholes and other stuff) with all the respect and all the consideration it`s sad than a basejumper (skydiver) say about another one it`s an asshole just because he had the chance to jump an object (even if it`s sponsored by a company). sad ------------------------- "jump, have fun, pull"
