See you there, Michele! If you need a hand with packing, just look me up, k? ltdiver :-) "If you want to walk on water, you've got to get out of the boat!"

Great story! When I travel by air, I always take my rig in case business lets me jump at a dz near by (have been to some really neat new places this way :^). The first time I did this, I looked at the emergency exit handout and determined the only way to exit safely, and not get sucked through an engine's intake, was to leave by the tail exit! When I asked if this was possible (have learned since then that this door can't be opened on the inside during flight), the flight attendant stared at me like I was another D.B. Cooper and said that I'd have to ask the pilot when we landed. Ha! Think I did? You bet! His look was priceless. Grins, Lori "If you want to walk on water, you've got to get out of the boat!"

As a 4-way competitor, I've taken to arching on the floor in front of my tv, watching last year's National's video. Choose any slot (I like outside center) and performing all the transitions with them for 35 seconds at a pop! Makes for a great work out, too! :-) "If you want to walk on water, you've got to get out of the boat!"

A wonderful tribute, Mike. Thank you for sharing, Lori "If you want to walk on water, you've got to get out of the boat!"

Bingo! And me thinks there's a lot more bored skydivers joining this NG every day! Glad to know it's not just my 'puter having a slow one today :-) "If you want to walk on water, you've got to get out of the boat!"

I watched in shock, as did all of the world yesterday, as our country's innocent, untouchable status was ripped in two. In the aftermath, L.A. was in quietness and I understood the magnitude of the loss in the vacant skies above. In my own back yard, here at home, I normally could lie on the cool grass and gaze upward to see the planes overhead and imagine where their origin and destinations were. Kind of living vicariously through whatever adventure might be occurring. But not last night. Not tonight either, as I gaze into the blackened sky and see no movement above. No sound, either. Yet, there are stars there. Ever twinkling stars, that remind me of the connectedness of the universe and how, in all this chaos, there is a comfort that all is not lost. We -do- have a presence that is ever there. And, as a Nation, we will band together and heal once again. To be the leaders and show the world what True Greatness is! Blue Skies Soon, Lori

Already done on my way home from work. Yes, this is -one- way we can give back. Make a difference. ltdiver

Michele! It has been 5 years since my initial memories of the sky emerged for the first time, and you've captured the essence of its existence completely. I remember, after that first (and supposedly only) jump, being at work the next day and looking out the plate glass window at the patch of blue sky that could be seen and longing to be up there again...soon! My co-workers thought I was crazy :^) The air on the ground is indeed stale, and the air above so sweet. On my way home from the dz last night, I again put my hand out the window and felt the breeze's inviting silkiness and wished that the day was just beginning again. Thanks for the re-touch of that first few month's glory. We should all remember... ltdiver

Michele, See you on Saturday, for sure. Anything I can help you with to get that A license sewn up, just let me know ! I should be doing Walt's 4-way skills camp (if the Las Vegas guys show) on Saturday, but should be able to get a jump or two with you (video-wise) if you still want it, in between times. Team training with Perris Xtreme on Sunday and Monday. Should be a full weekend. See you there! Lori

Seen 2 skydivers at my home DZ with tattoos. The guy has chicken feet spiraling up his leg (never had the nerve to ask why that tat) and the girl has a cool BFR running around her ankle. The last one almost inspired me to get one of my own! Blues, ltdiver
