  1. And this one: "Talk about defending mother earth. The goats are great soldiers. :)" HA! Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. We've all heard the advice to avoid urinating by any water supply, yes? Well, this is the first time I've ever heard this added advice! Really? Salt Licks! Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. Because most cameraflyers protect their neck by *not* looking up to watch their canopy openings. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  6. Stay in a wheelchair and let all the other drunks push you around! Beats *you* falling down and busting your ass! Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  7. Good god, don't marry him! My family is a very passive bunch that may say this among themselves, but never to the one who really *should* get the advice. . . . However, because of it I've started a sport that we dearly love (skydiving) and have made some awesome friends for life. I really like my life now. All of which would most likely have never happened if it wasn't for the heart break of that relationship ending.
  8. Bwhahahaha! I'm laughing so hard my eyes are crying. Thanks! Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. I second "Murderball". Another favorite is "Man on Wire" about the French high wire walker who traversed New York's WTC Twin Towers. Very inspirational (and a bit nostalgic as you watch the Towers being built, knowing what would happen to them just a couple of decades later). 10. A bit more info with a pre-jump video. Anyone recognize the lucky TM? http://theclicker.today.com/_news/2011/06/15/6865108-paris-hilton-jumps-from-a-plane-for-the-cameras The last line: ""I still can’t help but be a little sad that Brooke can’t be here with us,” Hilton explained. “I’m totally going to bring her back and do this again when she gets out of rehab!”" Guess misery loves company? 11. I have 3 different iPods, all with different playlists from one iTune account. No problem setting them up, or playing them. One for the car (older one that needs to be plugged in to work, d/t the battery not holding a charge anymore, but it works just fine for the car). One for the gym (little nano that I don't mind bouncing around). and one on my iPhone (for all around playlist for everything else, including playing through my wifi speakers in the house). And I'm no rocket scientist. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  17. For sure, always check your gear before and after boarding. And that of others as well. Lives have been saved by watchful eyes. You probably saved her life with that chest strap pull, however. I mean, if you hadn't she may have gone the entire jump not knowing it was routed incorrectly and fallen out on opening. It's happened more than once with very experienced skydivers. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=search_results&search_forum=forum_14&search_string=chest+strap&search_type=AND&search_fields=sb&search_time=&search_user_username=&sb=score&mh=25 Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  20. Perris had internet feed video cams around the packing, manifest, and loading area when DZ Manager Jack Gramley was here. About 5 or so years ago. He now owns a successful computer business up in Las Vegas. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

There must be a price for stupidity!!! If you are gonna do stupid shit.. pay for it yourself. Oh, I agree that everyone should pull their own weight. But where do we draw the line? And who decides if it's 'stupid'? Case in point: Just yesterday a couple of co-workers were late to work. They were stuck behind a traffic accident on the 215 freeway. Seems that a motorcycle had gone down and a car had run over him. A very nasty scene. Who was the stupid one? Another motorcycle accident a few months back (friend of a co-worker): Again, on a freeway. A car door opened in traffic jammed freeway. An unseen motorcycle hit the door, slid under the car, and again was run over. Who's the stupid one now? Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I find it interesting reading: On former threads there are those pleading for everyone's heathcare to be mandatory, even if it means the government (read, tax payers) to cover it. Then here, an alternate viewpoint; "as long as they're not in a higher risk activity and get in an accident'. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  25. I was speaking with a train engineer just today about this matter. In his very practiced and knowledgeable opinion, the planned attacks would be on trains carrying biohazard and radioactive fuels, not passenger trains. Think of it, the destruction and devastation such an attack would have much more impact, with more lasting and long time effects.
