Very impressive!!! btw, my car can do that too. Not saying I can, but my car can . . .! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJrEJb0HaeY&feature=related Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Doing a little research on the inland Empire's history of flooding and found this web site! Wow! The read is mind-boggling! http://www.insidetheie.com/1969-inland-empire-flood At the bottom of this article is what I was looking for, and the explanation of why our wash was flooding by an over 10 foot wall of water marching down the wash, all at once. What a story! Again, wow! Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

My niece and her husband and 2 kids are renting a house in San Diego while their newly purchased house is renovated. Their very first house (just moved here from the east coast). The rental has started to flood the downstairs and alot of their stuff is now ruined. Seems the rental was built over a spring! Real frustrating, especially since their own house isn't ready to be inhabited. Too much work to be done on their 'fixer-upper'. They're storing stuff in the garage there now, though! You can't help but wonder what some people were thinking when they either bought, or built in some area's! Like building homes on the shores off the Mo. river... We have a large wash just south of here where they *still* insist on building houses. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

It's been raining pretty dang hard the past week here in SoCal. On top of that, news reports point to a powerful thunderstorm hitting tonight. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40762935/ns/weather/ Just got home and there's a flood watch bulletin on my answering machine. First one that's ever been broadcast in this area. Sheriff will call if it upgrades to mandatory. How's other folks property doing? Any evacuations yet? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

You mean this one? : Cookie Ozone IMO, if you can't secure the helmet very snugly to your head (both front, side and back) then it will tend to wiggle in the wind. There's a reason that camera helmets are made for the job. If you're serious about good video and getting paid for it, then invest. Don't go for the least. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Same here, Bill! More than just you and me hated that Otter at Nat's. Didn't fall off, but had a rear floater on an 8-way kick my foot off the step. Hung on by one arm and still got the shot. That floater must have known what he did 'cause the next jump (competition round 10) he said he was going to stay in the door and not hang out on the step with me. btw, I love our Perris Otter camera handles. So easy to swing around and keep your grip! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Holy Shit! Now THIS is what I call a personal attack!
ltdiver replied to quade's topic in Speakers Corner
Just saw this thread and with each word of the report more and more anger surfaced here. As you know, my grandfather suffered with this disease for 30+ years. Symptoms started around age 40 and progressed from there. I'm so sorry that a young woman, and how her daughter, have to deal with Huntingtons at so young and age. This disease is horrible, and those who are not educated can actually believe the writhing symptoms are 'devil produced'. That they are possessed. I'm not saying that is what Petkov believed, however it makes me very sad if she did. I'm very angry about her actions, and at the same time very sad for her ignorance. I think her punishment should be to get mental help, in a locked facility, and be subjected to studying this disease and all its manifestations. Ugh. She needs help. Lots of it. Sigh Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Elsinore used to have 2 fluffy stuffed snakes they'd use just for this purpose. Worked really well! At Perris we'd use an old shoe. I donated one for a big-way one year. The alternate big-way didn't know what it was for and tossed it! I was in the cold seat and was not happy. Going up to 18K can be freezing! (btw, I don't have 250# of insulation as some have posted. ) Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I'll second this. I have a custom Javelin with a "C" Yoke, made back in 1998. Fits me like a glove. I then bought a used Javelin Odyssey made in 2004, again with a "C" Yoke. SunPath changed more than just cut in laterals. The yoke is also alot larger. The newer "C" Yoke is uncomfortable and the container sits too far down on my back. Looking to perhaps sell the Odyssey and have another custom one made for me. Perhaps now I need a "B" Yoke in the Odyssey? (I'm 5'10", 145#). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

And then that was the point where you said "Oh, Nutz . . . " (sorry, it was just hanging there, waiting for someone to say it. ) Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

In addition it may be helpful to carry your airline's own policy print-out. For instance, I just few Southwest to and from Nationals. They have a written policy to allow parachutes as carry-ons or checked baggage. You just can't wear it in flight. "G" means "Guest Team". At least one member is a non-U.S. Legal resident. They can still compete but cannot earn a medal. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Omniskore is not here at Nat's this year, however I hear they will be posting 3rd party information. Camscore is here and their system is sweet. At least from a digital dubbing standpoint. Weatherhold this morning. Teams released until 11. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Good information.. Syringomyelia (or Syrinx) is not very common and extremely unlikely in the case of the OP. Without any neck pain, a cervical injury is also somewhat unlikely. With what little info that has been provided it seems more likely that it would be related to something such as: vestibular/cochlear (inner ear) issue or sinuses. Less likely, but possible, post-concussive (getting your bell rung). If it's getting better he's probably just fine. If it gets worse go to the ER for eval and a CT scan. While I agree with you that the OP's symptoms do not appear to be anything tragic, I took the opportunity for those who may click this thread to educate instead of creating another thread. I hope you don't mind. I agree with your hypothesis on possible causes of the symptoms. I almost put at the end of my first post to check for possible concussion (or contra-coup). Pat Works almost died from a cerebral hemorrhage after 2 days of continued skydiving after a hard landing where he hit his head. I was involved with that post-traumatic episode and had to call 911 when he started projectile vomiting and became disoriented. Turns out it was a slow cerebral hemorrhage that required immediate evacuation at a trauma center that day. If you know Pat Works I would have LOVED to be a fly on the wall during his rehab! Imagine being his therapist and not knowing that Pat was 'crazy' *before* this incidence! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

A couple of very good articles for your consideration. And a must read for all skydivers IMO. Being in the medical field I've had the opportunity to treat both of these symptoms. One was already a paraplegic. The other (whiplash in a car accident) resolved without further incidence. The relationship of neck injury and post-traumatic headache Syringomyelia in Skydivers I sincerely hope your headache resolves in short order. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Just a word to the wise . . . USPA Nationals start on September 11 in Chicago, so if you're planning on visiting on September 10 be prepared that all the teams will be gone. However, both DZ's have plenty of fun jumpers available! :^) Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

But your reply points out the problem with the hype. People still CAN get free over-the-air TV. Sure can! Now, about that iris scan . . . Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Seems that I'll be in Chicago over USPA's Nationals this year and thought I'd stop by for a day or two. I've already asked a few local Perris teams who'll be there for 4 and 8-way, however their rooms are already full. So, thought I'd put a request out there for a spot to stay for a couple of days. Most likely the night of September 14 and 15. Anyone have a spare bunk for a visitor? Thanks! Lori (ltdiver) Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

NSL is saying it was "Sky Panthers" that got the 56, not "Black Cat". Any confirmation which team it actually was? Also the French team is challenging their 56. They count 57 with no penalties. Stay tuned! (most likely will be reviewed tomorrow, they write). Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
