What's your wing loading on that canopy? from seeing the pictures, you look a bit to heavy on it. Ive seen people flying really small canopies, but there is always a limit, small doesnt always means fast and big doesnt always means slow. Get a good wing loading 2.0 to 2.4, no more. Practice good safe turns, an a little rear riser action and you will see twice the speed and twice the distance. I dont know your swooping experience but I would higly recommend some swoop coaching. (Just from seeing the Pics I you can tell) Recomendations: Buy a few swoop videos, study the different landings. Study the landings of good swoopers at your DZ. Ask questions to those who really know. Hope what you just read can help in any way. "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog!"

I think a better idea would be to build a longer pond with the rails they use in wakeboarding, that might be better. "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog!"

I agree with you. But I had a 78VX that was killing me on the opennings. Tried a hundred packing tricks but the only one that worked took like 30 minutes pack. I didnt have the $$$ for a new Xaos so I send it to my friends at Precision and, Hell! it was a BIG differece, 100% better opennings, which was what I really was looking for. Can't say Im flying a new canopy but the Mod really works. I think both brands of canopies are great but the VX tend to open a bit hard, at least mine did. Don't you remember the SOAP shoes? I still got mine. There great for grinding, but you should have some rollerblade experience. They are slippery as hell! When I bought my new SOAPS my best buddy wanted to build like a handrail at the DZ for swoop grinds.... I thought it was a bit crazy, but now that someoneelse came out with the idea. Fu¢# it! I'll try it. If things keep on going the way they are, maybe in a few years we'll be Swooping the half pipe! JeJe "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog!"

Anyone got a picture of the rail? I imagine is something like the ones used for wakeboarding, but smaller. Hope they are not thinking about steel rails! "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog!"

"I have been stowing my slider under my chin for a while now" Bad,Bad idea, you never know when that airbagin front of your face is going to pop open and........ Ouchhhhh! Lazyfrog mentioned the bungee with a ball. Well ive been using that for more than five years and let me tell you, I think is the best and cheapest. You can go to your nearest packing tent or any of those tarps arround your Dz if any, and steel one of those black bungees cords they use to tie them, ball is included. Get one in good conditions, please! When you get it the thing should bee a loop with the ball at the end. You will carefully open your reserve flap, pass the bungee loop through, close the reserve flap. Thats all. Now.... There are two ways of attaching your slider to the ball. (1) You eather sew a little piece of pullup cord or binding tape to your slider. Can be the center front or the center back, (I dont even know where is mine) Loop a large rubberband tho the pice you just sew (Its exactly how you put the rubberbands on you D-bag) When you open and bring down the slider, roll it, roll it, roll it but remember to expose the rubberband and lock the Rband to your black ball. "Black Ball sounds nasty! but thats what it is!" You got it! (2) forget about putting the RBand to your slider and attach one RBand to anothe then to your B-B. When you bring down the slider roll it, roll it, roll it and pass the RBand arround and lock it to the BB Guys there are a lot of ways on stowing your slider, like I said Ive been using it for a long time and almost everyone at my DZ does, never had a problem, just make shure when you put the bungee to your reserve flap not to live it to tight that your flap will bend or too loose. Check out few pics on how it ends up, with or with out the RBand, and how to loop the two rBands together. Cant show you the slider cause Im packed. It doesnt work on all containers! WARNING- this is a home made product not ment for skydiving, use it at your own risk. Once you try this there wont be anymore hellicopters following you, JeJe! Safe swoops. He is a local at my DZ We told him that camera wasn't good for skydiving but he wanted it because it was small. How small? Like if it made a big difference! So many good models out there, and he buys the little toy well..... Ill make shure he read your replies so he can have an idea about the waist of $$$ Thanks, Julio YM4 (Love you Christie)[:) "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog!"
