Don't really know if is a re-post ( So watch out repost CSI police). I just got a copy of the video Remedy by Chris Fiala, I have a pretty decent collection of skydiving, base jumping and kitesurf video, but besides the excelent work Chris (and friends) do freeflying and editing skydiving videos this one threw me off with a pleasant surprise. There is a hidden clip, and is really a picture in one of the chapters, with the risk of sounding geeke I would like to know if anyone else had discovered the picture embeded in the video? This is not a Joke and I will post the Chapter, and time this picture shows in the video. The picture is four girls showing thier boobs inside an airplane very nice one I must add. I don't see how this could be done by accident during the editing process, since it ;ooks ;ike a contnous clip no cuts on the scene, what that means is somebody had to make a cut, insert the frame or picture and continue with the movie. so just wondering if is some kind a cool joke or promotonal stunt, so somebody like me ask. A group of us Jump there for a friends wedding back in June 2006, there wont be a dropzone there, since there is only one airport right in the middle of the bay with lots of international flights coming in,but with a few months of planning and regular permits you'll be lucky to jump in a couple months. We were lucky that our friend now lives there and took care of permits and all, we had permission for one jump, did two. Uh........ depends check with your instructor. My first cutaway was spinning mal very fast on my back I had altitude I got stable face down first before I pulled. My second was a tension knot cut away and deploy I was already stable. Both cut away without RSL Now I have the skyhook I really don't think about any of those two scenarios anymore. Yes I have them both. you need to fly within the 3 ft range, the pics are incredible, the lens is very good is got it's own filter I love it. with the 400D if you're a little far it allows you too crop the picture and still get decent resolution http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html

I create a photoshop file with the size of a TV resolution write the watermark and erase the background (checkers screen) to create the transparency also make the logo transparent to 15% or less and superimpose in the video using imovie. Don't see the need to use finalcut for something this simple and is only for web use. I think the question here is not if you have to give away stills and video for those you jump with, the real question here is what is this doing to the skydive photography Industry?. Bottom line. The video guy has the right to give away or charge what he thinks his work is worth, but, if there is a guy at the DZ doing it for free why pay for the service at all? We are all video guys in this forum the difference here is some are doing it for a living, and some for fun or extra money (You can argue the extra money point, since how long would it take to buy and replace your equipment or really make money of it) perhaps. To charge less than what the dropzone charges for video on a tandem jump is equitable to taking money away from the DZ and the person who makes a living doing it. That does not include favors we do for friends like firewire video between friends on a jump or give away pictures again the video guy is the only one who can decide that. I’m guilty for doing video and stills for tandems covering or not my slot, all of them very close friends or family members who would not consider doing a tandem if I did not have sell them the idea to jump in the first place.
