Wingsuits have been flown almost as long as people have been jumping from aircraft. The early days of wingsuit flight (Skyflying) was focused more toward the flying circus and barnstorming theatres of the 1930's through 60's. In the late 1990's, Skyflying saw a rebirth. Technological improvements in fabrics, advances in safety procedures and most importantly aerodynamics, allowed Skyflyers to fly almost horizontally at speeds which rival the vertical speeds of traditional skydivers. Skyflying has allowed for a new disciplines all their own, some fly in groups much the same as precision aircraft at an airshow, some fly for distance covering several miles, others try to fly to see how long they are able to stay in the air. One thing is for sure, they all fly for fun. whatever.... i'm better at this when i'm drunk. -smd7

Might be an ulcer. Had (have?) one... and it comes and goes once in a while. Lay off booze, lay off smokes, lay off caffinne. or don't. booze, smokes and caffinne are fun, if you don't mind barfing once a day. -smd7 -

i was working in San Francisco for a week this past spring. One night (after working/being awake for 30+ hours) I found myself in the basement of one of SFO's nicer hotels - I was originally down there to find the engineering room, so that I could sneak in and get some parts for the set I was working on, but happened upon the pastry chef pulling the first batch of Croissants(sp?), muffins and pretty much anything else you could think of out of the oven at about 3:00 in the a.m.... I sat there for about half an hour trying to talk to him in my best broken french, while I ate the best pastries I'd ever had in my life.... "you no tell m'boss.. no?" "no." -smd7

"Damnit. No bed testing. Event planning would be cool, though. Or basically anything other than insurance would be good. " I've been in event planning for almost a year... It's NOT AT ALL what you think it is.... Check out my thread on staying awake for 80+ hours, that or check both my bank accounts.... I haven't been paid since early July.. 100 hour weeks are a norm. Coming home to take a shower, after working for 24 hours straight, and then kissing the girl on the cheek while she's sleeping - then going back to work for another 24... or, don't go home... I've got a hammock hanging in our shop that I'll crawl into for a half hour nap, cuz there's not enough time to drive the 7 miles home for a shower... i'm drunk. i'm done ranting now.. but i'm not drunk enough... -smd7

I'll build one for you in my shop... but, it will cost you. pm me if you'd like, i can draw it up on Vectorworks (3D CAD Program). Also, in my former (career) life, I worked in air-freight, so shipping it to you is a done deal... not to pat myself on the back, but I build some pretty cool shit. -smd7 -
