ATOM Container from parachutes-de-france and Reserve
Pantanal replied to CaptnCrunch's topic in Gear and Rigging
The techno 140 is the only one that doesn't have TSOD, cause it was a later launch for the market and PDF just didn't run the tests to get it. Techno are great reserves, don't give it away. You got a great system there. Cheers prego -
Call Jerome, he can explain all details for you. Speed 2000 is a low bulk reserve that's been in the market for a long time, It's proved to be a great reserve. Take a look at this youtube link. It's a 120 size flown by a heavy skydiver. Safe openings, good handling and landing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ-D2E4HMCA Safe jumps prego

Hello Javien, I work with NZ for quiet some time now and I´m sure they will strait it out for you,not to worry on this. Gui D31713 prego -
We have two Seven tandem containers downhere in Brazil for 1 year now and all I can say is a very strong and reliable gear, Both containers have more than 1000 jumps each and we had only one malf. Very fast reserve deployment. Very comfortable rig as well, for pilot and passenger. safe jumps Gui D31713 prego

I've jumped my MIrage G4 MX with a CF 2 120. Nice fit and no problems with packing it. cheers prego

For a everyday jump canopy I would definitely stick with the NITRO. It gives you speed and good performance whenever you ask for and it flyes very well on low speed landings. Highly stable always. The crossfire is a great canopy as well, but doesn´t performe as efficient as the Nitro on low speed landings with the same WL. In my opinion Katana means speed and that´s all you get from it. OH forgot to mention a new surprise on almost every opening. safe jumps prego

Hi Paul, No that was not the case. The canopy got stock at the upper part of the freebag(NJ Jav. size). There was too much fabric stuffed in there. The only common thing on both rigs was that they both had the "RABBIT EAR" packaging method. The rigger folds upwards the three noses and they were packed by the same person. Hope I could explain better. cheers prego
-
It took a lot of pull force to free the canopy out of the freebag. Only had this malfunction with small javelins. cheers prego

IMO,every container system in the market are fairly safe, so that´s why we use them. Some are more popular than others and so. I pack racers reserves for 15 years now and never had a problem or even an bad impression whenever I receive a container for a repack. Last two small javelins I had the chance to repack(small sizes NJs/126 pdr) they showed a bag lock. I just couldn´t pull the canopy out of the freebag. Couldn´t imagine the reason why that happened as well, but it did. So, to my humble opinion, some containers demands a better rigging and maintainence than others, and it´s owners should be aware of those particularities of each rig brand carries. They´re all good rigs but they all fail as well. safe jumps PS> In Brazil and many other countries, racers are as popular as any other rig. prego

1200 jumps with racers containers and don´t recall any issues with main flaps. Once I had a problem with a tuck tab system due to a larger reserve packed in a power racer, so I consider it my mistake. cheers prego

good for us, than we know what we´re talking about. safe jumps prego

You give your opinions without even touch a SEVEN container, and if you had, you missed to check out the reserve PC strenght. I´ve packed almost all containers in the market, and I can tell for sure that´s as strong as a Mirage PC or stronger. At least stronger than your Javelin reserve PC it´s for sure. If you´re really interested on this matter, fell free to call Basik´s dealer on the US, Mike Gruwell. He´ll sure tell you real facts on this. safe jumps prego
