Why is skysurf so uncommon today?
PurpleBadger replied to The111's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Try looking at 'GoodStuff' , plenty of skysurf as well as surf base on there -
if he is actually thinking about buying and speaks nicly in Sq1 then they might let him demo for nothing.

hahaha, it's kinda funny looking at a country's politics from outside ... damn, forgot we still had Blair as PM, he's not really much more then a finger puppet for Bush
-
I'm not in total agreement with the death penalty also... if someone has done something so terrible that they warrent it in those places that use it. Wouldn't it be worse on them to lock them up in a little tiny dingy room eating barely enough rotten food to keep them alive and really let the pay a price for their misdeeds (unless someone can prove that there is a hell that they are actually ending up in) Let the flaming and arguments begin - but that's just how I feel.

Patrick was involved in a wingsuit accident, it was nothing to do with Skysurf. www.bpa.org.uk/skydive/pages/people/gayardon.htm -
RSL's are mandatary for student kit as are AAD's. Thus, if it is in the kit the instructor IS obliged to teach about the use of an RSL, though they would not be able to force the person to use one once they had come off student status.

I don't think that Tanya is jumping much after having her kid, though Craig is there most of the time.

had to vote for Nethers and Weston, but then I get military rates
-
At least the tunnel they're building here in the UK is also gonna be one of the recirculating versions. Can't imagin it would get much business here overwise
-
I learnt from Scott Smith out in Perris, the're pretty well setup for teaching. Just hold off untill you've got a whole lot of Freefly experience first
-
272 in 8 months... don't think that there is a huge number of people who qualify through the courses at netheravon. LOTS (myself included) get out to the States taking military instructors to do AFF.

Witnessed 1 = team mate (all detail in incidents thread still) Known 1 = The week before in a canopy collision Can't say that this summer has really been great for my first in the sport
-
Wouldn't putting on weight then affect your freefall skills, which if on low jump numbers then your going (i would think) to be wanting to continually improve. In which case jumping with an appropriately sized canopy in appropriate conditions seems like the better option?

it'd be faster to list what doesn't: 1) 2) 3)

I thought you were just a pretend lawyer matt... id've never helped you out if i knew the truth
-
I'd probably go for the spectre... REMEMBER that's only me!!! have a look at the PD homepage for the various flight characteristics of these canopies and then test fly them if you can.
-
It amazes me the swoop that I get off my reserve that has just finished opening at 10ft... why don't I get any of those falling down an endless dark pit dreams? it'd be like cheap wind tunnel time
-
So... anybody earn any good ones this w/end? I didn't personally but i'm sure that plenty of other people did

Man shoots drug dealers in his front yard...

that's to deal with the lawyers... right -
So then...What's your jump average per year???
PurpleBadger replied to Vertifly's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
So far 270 in my 7 months in sport. Probably be near 500 this year. UK isn't conjucive to jumping... but then transatlantic travel is SOOOOOOOOOO easy -
i have and really like my symbi suit though i also have a Bev suit, as far as suits made in the US are concerned if you want a tight fitting suit I think that Tony suits are pretty good, they're made well and seem to be designed for a tight fit... bewarned of the waiting times that are involved with just about all jumpsuits!
