Just wait till they tell you you have to exit flipping out of the plane. That isnt for the next few jumps, but Im already having issues with that.

Went up tandem-2 Sunday morining, still some anxiety going out the door (dont know why), had a great exit, everything smooth, went through the drill perfectly, great forward motion, wave off, hand on the ripcord, and I yanked the son-of-a-bitch this time, up went the chute. Yaaaay! Finally. Well, it didnt go all that well. This chorizo and egg burrito I ate the previous day caught up with me just before reaching jump altitude, stomach freaking out, hurting like hell, and me going....NOT NOW!!! I guess I had my mind off it once we were out the door, but once we were on the ground....thats when it really started up. Lesson for the day: no more chorizo and egg burritos before skydiving. Learn something new every day. I still hadnt had enough, had to do it again that day, so I took a few hours to shake off the burrito, went swimming, then back up again. Winds and dust devils were kicking up, on the ride up he was telling me it may be a turbulent ride down in the chute, thats when I mentioned the burrito I had just shaken off, the BLT I ate about 30 minutes ago, and I hope I dont get the El-Puko on the way down. Well, he cleared that up real quick, by telling me that he had just eaten a green burrito for breakfast this morning, and if I dare puke up, Im gonna get the green burrito treatment when he pukes up all over me. That solved that problem. Fantastic exit, felt really, really good, was staring up at the plane just above us. We were keeping up with it for a few seconds, made me start laughing, lost count, then I started joking about it saying "think we can beat it down?". By that time, already rolled into position, went through the drill, just starting to go forward, then he's shaking my arms. So Im like, "whats he want?", still skaking my arms, I throw my hands to the side trying to say "what?", still shaking my arms, so finally did another touch, shaking stops. Turns out he's trying to tell me to relax. I WAS relaxed, so then I just shot forward for about 5 secs, recovered, then we practice turns. So we start spinning to the right, round, and round, (uh oh, the BLT), and round, (hold it, remember the green burrito), then left, round, (the BLT), and round, (the green burrito), then stop. Whew! No BLT, no green burrito. 5K, shit, where is that thing, grabbed it, started pulling, turns out to be a hard pull, nothing happening, pulled harder, nothing happening, yanked the mother fucker, nothing happening, looked back at him, so we both pulled and up it goes. So now we have another issue...hard pulls, and Im going on about that all the way to the ground, all the way back to the holding area, and for the next half hour. Thats okay, glad it happened that way, something else to think about.

Well prolly was since I jump at SDA everyday, and I am generally on the first load clear to sunset unless we have more than one aircraft in the air and I get all my training done. Next time intoroduce yourself. Well as it has been said in skydiving....you never lose your girlfriend, just your place in line... I didnt know if you wanted to talk to me or not, but Ill introduce myself next time. The next time may be AFF-1, so dont be surprised if Im acting nervous. I try not to, but hey, the phobia hasnt completely gone. I saw you around today (Sunday) about 20 times, and you saw me probably several times without knowing who I was. So Ill point myself out: Sunday morning, you were squatting down and facing the pool area talking on a cellular phone, looking straight towards me. I was the only one in the pool, wearing a speedo, and was drying off. You were also wearing a blue jumpsuit that day. Another time, I was parachuting back down the student area with Greg, he was telling me some things as we were walking by you, you were sitting on the bleachers talking to this girl I had met in the holding area (brunette, from SoCal, was doing her solo that day). Lets make this fun, see if you can spot me next time! I may be there next Saturday doing the AFF-1 then Sunday morning making the jump, if not Sunday morning doing another tandem-2. Depends on time and money. By the way, youre right, they are grey. I was wearing one that day.

Ladies and gentlemen, I taught him everything he knows....ha ha yeah, right, you certainly did.... Whens the next flight to Deland, Florida? Ooops, nooo thats right, I got to be at work on Monday. But next week, um no, going to Cal. Well next month...eee, no, gotta get to Vegas, then Cal again. OK, so maybe I didnt teach you EVERYTHING...

I know how you feel, they did that to me last weekend, almost this one.

Is that you in the pic??? I think I saw you on the plane load last Sunday morning, I think sitting towards the front. Took another look, yes, I definitely saw you, you were parachuting down with some others Sunday morning, dont remember clearly whether you were on the first load or not, I think you were. Not that I was paying much attention to it, but there was one girl on board with short brown hair I remember.

You mean .CRAP??? Im a MFC/C/C++ programmer on ACT! and never believed in it, but theyre rewriting ACT! in C-sharp. All just politics, the only reason theyre doing it is because Microsoft is doing it and we have to compete with their contact manager. Ill ask some of the others on Monday who deal with it about your problem and see if they know anything. Send this in an email to: ground_rush@bellsbeachaustralia.com Its not going to look too good if someone sees me bullshitting around on a forum at work.

Clock's tickin' - ...tick...tick...tick...

Well, in that case, try North Phoenix, thats where I live. We may be down to earth, but by no means down on luck!!!

Now you see that??? We're smarter than those fools who have college degrees! Wait a minute...I have a college degree.....

Excuse me for a second, but, I think you might want to try Scottsdale. There's just not a whole lot to Eloy, save for a pretty good Mexican restaurant called Zapataria Rojo just off the freeway. You wont find a date there, but they do have great tacos! Or get creative....climb Squaw Peak! Girls love meeting guys at the top because they know they have to be in great shape to be there. Besides, its the Arizonan thing to do, you dont get dates in clubs, you get dates on tops of mountains. When in Rome....

Ummm...Sangiro isn't a US citizen, he just recently got here. Nice try though. Kris Why would he say "fraternity", "Greek", and "brother"? Thats a little wierd.

lol. i was just openning this thread with the intent of asking him, now that he's found some of the joy of flight, when he was going to learn which forum to post in? Well, gee, I dont know. If I were to get her on here and yall were to talk her into skydiving, then it would belong in Skydiving. Fat chance of me even getting her to look at this site. Never know, knowing her she could be spying on us right now and I may be hearing about it tomorrow.

Do you know someone named "Wendy" at Sebastian? Also, do they have a bunkhouse there?

Its 13000 baby, not 1300, looks like her dad got it all wrong again. Talking about this just gave me an idea. I have a skydiving video showing formations, ect. someone sent me from EBay, its one of those things that take skydiving in a positive direction, as a sport, and not some maniac way to try to avoid suicide. So if I send it to her, think she'll watch it? Or am I wasting my time again? Or..... I gave her the address to this forum. She says shes not inerested, but I wonder how interested she would be if I told her we were talking about her!!! On the other hand, knowing her, she might get pissed. It not like I mentioned her name here, however, we could be talking about anyone, even though we're not, we're talking about her.

I think you just spelled out whats been happening for eight months now, I wont change, she wont change, thats a problem. The tennis player wont last, that one's the fifth. Not real involved with her right now, but just still talking and thats about it. In the past, Ive given up meeting girls because of her, so Im thinking maybe just move on for now (she did), stay in touch and see what happens. Im not talking about months, Im talking about years, because it takes that long for her to make up her mind about anything.

Man I need one of those!!!

That is my bet. The only major mass tactical drop in VN was done by the 173rd in 1967. What are the chances that anyone under 60 knows someone on that jump? The Special Forces groups did some other smaller stuff. Jumping was rare in VN. This sounds like a "friend of a cousin of a neighbor" excuse. Whatever the reason, the answer is no. He should let it go. No dont go there, prior to this, she is the one who started seeing someone else who her family liked, they didnt like me at all, especially her father who told me that he was trying to prevent us from getting together, ie live too far away, and I guess age difference but I dont know. I had a hard time getting her to accept living out west, like Florida is everything, she says she would never leave her family and friends. I said Id never live in Florida becasue I hate the place. The goal was, if I got her to visit, take her to Cal, she would go back and change her mind. Her dad told her that, if she flys out here to see me, not to come back home. A lot of things would change about her if I could just get her out here, get her away from her family. Had the same problem a long time ago with an exfiance who still was living with her parents. I couldnt pull her away, no matter how hard I try. Remember, she told me one time, she was thinking about skydiving, but told me that is our seceret. This is comming from her family again. Her dad telling her, "Oh yea, distant relative, paratrooper in VN got hurt parachuting"....its just all bullshit, he doesnt like me and is trying to dig up whatever excuse he can to turn her off. And he's doing it. He was telling her bad things about Arizona (comes out here for the Nascar races), like its too bright, suns too hot, ect. I never could figure out how to get past it, too frustrating. On VN, my brother was a paratrooper there from 1969-71, then reenlisted in medical corps. Dont know the details of it though, maybe he was just in Airborne. Youre probably right on your last statement, but I dont think Im going to find another like her, anywhere. Shes one of a kind.
