  1. With the exception of this particular tandem student, this DZ is great. Marine layer might shut down jumping occasionally, but when it doesn't, you have an amazing view, a clean & fast plane, a friendly staff, and a pretty sweet facility. I did jumps 25-120 at SDSB and now I have about 2500. I actually went back to jump there the same day this video incident happened, and I had a blast. This customer just failed to realize that in skydiving things don't always go perfectly. The videographer was sorry and the customer didn't really care. Don't let the beginning of this thread dissuade you from visiting the DZ, but make sure you check the weather forecast. If the weather is favorable, make sure you swoop the river bed for me.

  3. Be aware that the 105 has a tighter standard lense than a PC-5 or PC-9 so that when you mount a Wide Angle on it, it won't be as wide as it should. So a .42 on a PC-5 might look the same as a .38 on the PC-105. Also, the IP's micro DV format has not proven to be very user friendly as far as compatability with software goes.
  4. It's freak'n heavy. For that much weight, I'd go with the Flat Top Pro. It's way more comfortable, but twice as pricy.
