People are going to do what they want. I always tried to advise people that certain actions they were taking or their choice of equipment or type of dive maybe be not the best idea.... Guess what.. no one listens. I only had 137 jumps but the advice I was passing along was from World Champs. Guess what... people keep doing what they want. You will never change that. People have free will and it is impossible to stop that. I still get infuriated when I here about people right off AFF doing three or four way FF jumps with people who IMHO aren't good enough to stay out of their way. THAT IS NOT SAFE!!! But if they want to kill themselves, that is their choice.

I don't think it is fair for you to generalize on this. Outside their immediate family they don't care that much.... BULLSHIT!!! I unfortunately had the experience of seeing a friend in ICU with his family and friends all around him. I considered him a friend and still do even though he is gone now. But I think it is a load of crap for you to speculate outside the person's immediate family that they don't care... BUDDY... there were about 15 people outside his immediate family crying their fuckin eyes out in that hospital.
