  1. No, brent is like the fish that bites your hook, then you throw it back, then it swallows the hook again. He's forgotten how he got hammered in the European gas debate and he's sadly trying again. Thanks Phil, I stand corrected on the coal - I thought the australian imports were for energy, which was a mistake. But China's getting hammered with climate change and pollution - Shanghai's baking in the summer, Beijing and many other cities are choking in pollution. Brent's cheering their coal use but he really has no idea that they're also doing a massive push in renewables. When they fully transition to renewables, he'll have to find some other country to cheer on.
  2. Well there's still a bit of good news in that: It means coal use in the US is falling and will continue to fall. China being dependent on coal means that they're dependent on Australia - which they don't want given the politics. China doesn't exactly have a lot of coal under their territory, nor shale gas/oil (which brent thought the europeans had too, but couldn't do the maths properly). So they're also turning to renewables for energy independence.
  3. Given that you don't read...very much at all, I'm not sure what you think you're doing when you say that. We can read the NOAA reports just fine. I actually read the whole thing, unlike you. What makes this even more funny is that you've repeatedly demonstrated you don't understand technical writing at all. But do carry on, it will be funny!
  4. "It's popular therefore it's right". (but only on things brent agrees with) Nothing to see here really. He hasn't come here for a discussion.
  5. This explains the imaginary leftie that lives in brent's head then
  6. Brent's not here to discuss anything guys.
  7. Geez. Brent probably longs for the return of asbestos, lead in gasoline, glass, and paint, and misses the good ol' days of smog-filled LA just to own the libs living rent-free in his head.
  8. Why is Rhys back? Get this nazi out of here please.
  9. And that would be you. The reason for the higher depreciation for used electric cars is the Federal tax rebates - that meant they were already thousands below list price the moment they were purchased. With supply of electric vehicles far below demand, they actually hold value better, especially during the chip shortage that caused car manufacturers to stop production of many models. Not to mention their much higher reliability due to having a tiny fraction of moving parts and high temperatures of a standard ICE vehicle. Source
  10. What were you going to spend it on? Healthcare?
  11. Need to ask Slim about this when he gets back. (He'll probably say this is compared to 100,000 Ukranian children who died in Bakhmut - more than its pre-war population but who's keeping count eh?)
  12. But talking about actual records requires you to do actual maths. You've never really been up to it
  13. No worries, but we're getting closer: Storm Shadows have been delivered to Ukraine - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-65558070 The Kerch bridge is well within their 300km range. Additionally, they've lost quite a bit of ground on the southern flank of Bakhmut. Slim won't be able to deny it because his boss has actually released a video complaining about it.
  14. No one ever said to exclude white people. If 2 people arrive in ER and one of them is much more seriously injured than the other, they would need more attention from the doctors. But that doesn't mean the other person isn't injured, just less injured. So your difficulties in life are perfectly valid. Nobody is saying you should be excluded from any help because you're white.
  15. Yet somehow you're actually offended by the concept of woke... whoosh.
  16. After a radioactive poison attack and a chemical weapon attack on the UK, it's not even close to payback yet.
  17. He actually called for war crimes to be committed in a previous post. Somehow he's still here, cheering on war crimes and defending nazi language.
  18. Not according to your boss Prigozhin. Have you seen his latest videos?
  19. Yeah, for Russia that is. Wagner will pull out of Bakhmut next week according to Prigozhin. I thought they were, in your words:
  20. FIFY. Great message he's sending - according to a former twitter executive, "such a threat should be alarming to any business operating on the site, since it indicates that acquiescing to Musk's every whim may be necessary in order to avoid being impersonated."
  21. I mean, Slim still hasn't denied that he called for war crimes to be committed (calling for no taking of prisoners). Instead he jumps in to defend Rhys' nazi language.
  22. Also popularly known as TERFs, or trans-exclusionary radical feminists. Notable TERFs include J.K. Rowling. They somehow think that the 0.5% of population that might identify as trans are just men trying to get into women's spaces. They're usually traumatized by some past event - usually a man - violating their space, hence the extreme reaction. So unfortunately there's no reasoning with them, since it's an emotional reaction. Which wasn't caused by a trans person in the first place... It explains the bizarre spectacle of these "feminists" then teaming up with the far-right to pretty much target trans people, although I'm not so sure they're aware of the far-right's stance on feminism.
  23. Yeah, they listed measles and cholera. I mean, you've got measles right there in Florida, cholera's still pretty common too in developing countries. So some hospitals in Florida definitely have samples with measles in them.
  24. Okay, name one of those diseases.
  25. um....anyone want to break the news to Slim?
