  1. Go to 02:16 of that video, he specifically said and I quote "I was wrong and the mayor was right, and I apologize to her."
  2. Here's another one in Louisiana and he's Republican: https://edition.cnn.com/videos/us/2020/04/12/louisiana-mardi-gras-parade-nungesser-intv-tsr-blitzer-vpx.cnn Just from that I already have a much higher opinion of him than Trump.
  3. Strawman argument, nobody was asking for that. All people were asking for was a coherent strategy. You know, leadership.
  4. Don't you know that if the virus was successfully contained, it would have been thanks to Trump, but if not, it's the states' and governors' fault? </sarcasm>
  5. Given the way the UK is going, it will be pretty much just England soon enough...
  6. Why do you even have a federal government?
  7. Also, the first thing Trump did when he got elected was to revoke the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Who was the big winner to this? China. He has done China a huge favour by sinking the USA into his swamp. We're not anti-Trump because we're pro-China, we're anti-Trump precisely because we don't want the US to lose its lead to China. But because of Trump, it's going to happen.
  8. Strangely Trump supporters point to the election of Duterte in the Philippines as proof that "people like them" are everywhere, ignoring the fact that he pivoted the Philippines from being a US ally to a country much more friendly to China.
  9. As I was saying in the other thread - several countries hate China's guts, especially Taiwan and Vietnam, and that didn't stop them from executing an effective response to the virus. The US's failure to contain it stands independently on its own.
  10. That's the problem, people are dying now without getting admitted. Coroners are having trouble getting hold of enough tests for those cases: https://edition.cnn.com/2020/04/06/health/coronavirus-coroners-uncounted-deaths-invs/index.html
  11. And one more thing - if you think you're unique in hating China, get in line. Taiwan is perpetually on the brink of war with China, yet they were able to control the outbreak and not cry "victim". Vietnam also hates China's guts, yet they deployed a massive testing program and coherent strategy and also got it under control. Yet it's a conspiracy against Trump by the left, China, the WHO and everyone else? I'm rooting for America to win this, I really am. But it looks to me like you're doing the equivalent of crying in the changing room at half time. The opponent is a virus that doesn't care about political agendas, popularity or theatrics. Keep this up, and you WILL lose. You can investigate China later. But you need to put the pressure on Trump NOW.
  12. Seriously, even *if* the WHO was completely a puppet of China, doesn't excuse the US failing so hard compared to countries like Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and even Vietnam. They had access to the same information the US did. Vietnam shares a border with China. Stop crying "victim", make your leaders perform better and hold them responsible. Funny how you don't hear much blaming going on in the countries fighting the virus successfully.
  13. More of a victim than the people dying? Does Trump need a safe space? What a snowflake. Whatever happened to taking responsibility? In the past 4 years I've seen more old men acting like toddlers in my entire life.
  14. This is stretching logic so far past breaking point...if he made the prediction in Q4, then it should have already been contracting by then and he was only predicting Q1 results. Then it wouldn't be much of a prediction as much as simple extrapolation. Is it so hard to admit he was right?
  15. Still better than your track record of predictions Funny that with all your trolling, you still haven't shorted Tesla's stock. Surely with such a high value now it has no way to go but down? Go and short!
  16. So...is the overall warming imaginary, or is it just the threat that's imaginary? Like how the threat of COVID-19 was imaginary?
  17. How many percent? If the total delay was 6 weeks, how much of it was due to the faulty test? Italy didn't have faulty tests, so that would limit the percentage. What would explain the rest of the delay?
  18. South Korea had a massive mobilization, with drive-thru testing and lockdowns of entire cities. And the only reason the US is behind is because of the CDC's test accuracy? Got it.
  19. Kicking her in the face by asking which schools banned the Pledge? If your beliefs are as fragile as that, then yes this is not the place to be. The place to be is a safe space where your beliefs are not questioned. Snowflakes don't do well in fire...
  20. And this is going to increase inequality - it doesn't matter how good at academics the child is, their progress during social distancing would be limited by how good at academics their parents are. so...what is the role of the school system in society?
  21. Why are you making excuses for him? Let him say if it was an exaggeration. But you can't find any schools which ban The Pledge. Well done.
  22. The only thing these have in common is that they're promising simple solutions for complex problems. Brexit: IMMIGRANTS & EU are the cause of all our problems! Duterte: the cause of all our problems are DRUGS and DRUG USERS! The only thing this is saying is that there are many people who cannot understand the complex problems the world is facing and they yearn for simple solutions. At some point you have to deal with reality. After getting elected in 2016, Duterte gave himself 6 months to eliminate all crime from the Philippines. Any guesses what happened to that promise?
