hehe, seriously though, I am interested in how he can tell who is a muslim and who is not, considering it isn't a race thing, its a religion thing. funnily enough, as different as it may be across the channel , most muslims over here don't look as if they've come straight from an al-Qaeda terrorist training video! ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

What would be sadder is if people are so frightened of being politically incorrect that they do nothing - that's what made 9/11 happen. I say screw political correctness, and do El Al-style interviews of ANY young Middle Eastern males before they are allowed to board a plane, especially if their name is "Mohammed". mh Congrats, thats the most stupid post you've ever posted (and the competition was fierce) El Al profiles and interviews passengers, and hasn't had a hijacking since Entebbe in 1976. I rest my case. I also subscribe to the Little Green Footballs theory that every muslim is assumed to be a terrorist until proven otherwise. edit for elaboration and how do you propose to determine whether someone is a muslim or not? make them recite a Hail Mary and the Lord's Prayer and if they get it wrong boot them off? Hi All, sorry for the late notice, but on Thursday it is our monthly drinks night in the Montagu Pyke on Charing Cross Road. We have a reserved area like normal, and hopefully they'll remember to block it off this time unlike last time. Anyway, see you then hopefully, I'll send out another reminder on Thursday. Well last months meet was a great laugh, lots of faces we hadn't seen for a while plus a bunch of new people, as well as the regulars. This months meet is next Thursday, 24th August, so hopefully we'll have a similar turnout with people bringing back their medals from the Nationals! Good luck to all the teams entering. Caz

Hey Sarah stop flirting with the newbie before they've even met us! Give the poor person a chance! Welcome along Sam, if you still can't find us just grab a corona and loiter around the bar. Hi All, Bumping the reminder that this months drinks evening is this Thursday (the 27th) in the Montagu Pyke on Charing Cross Road from 6ish onwards. Hi All, A quick reminder (trying to be more organised this month after last months palaver!) that our next drinks evening is on Thursday 27th July, at the Montagu Pyke. For those that know him and who don't receive all the group emails, it will be TC (Gary Sternberg)'s last night with us before being deported back to South Africa, so it will be nice to see him off and wish him well with his new job. yeah I haven't heard munter for a long time either. I think that list is specifically for words common across the two 'languages' of American and British which have different meanings in the different countries, so thats probably why it wasn't in there. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

They don't have a rigger at Sibson, but they have advanced packers who can do your reserve for you, but if you need any work doing you'll need to take it to Chatteris (North London Parachute Centre) where they have a rigger (Kim) who is fantastic. Probably best to ring either of the dzs though to see if they can fit you in, or be prepared to leave it with them for a week or so. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

Hi there, if you want to meet some fellow London jumpers join the mailing group in my signature below, we have a monthly social drinks night in town which is a nice opportunity to get to know some faces you'll see at the dz's. There are currently over 180 people on the list, and we jump at about 6 or so dz's around London, so I'm sure you'll find people with things to say about each DZ, good and bad experiences! Caz -
Hi All, Sorry about last night, typically it was the first time in 2 years that we haven't booked an area at the MP, and the first time in 2 years that our night has co-incided with a ticket only night! Thanks to everyone who helped out by contacting people etc, and it was a nice night with those who made it to the Curzon. Anyway, I'll definately ring the MP next time even if we don't actually end up reserving an area! Next time... Caz ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

Ok, maybe disaster is a bit dramatic, but the Montagu Pyke is tickets only because of the football. So don't know what to suggest, I'm going to head there now, and if anyone's there before 7ish we can find an alternative, otherwise I think we'll have to cancel it this time folkes. I saw them at Glastonbury in 2003, they were amazing live. Only gripe I have about it was that they flat out refused to play Creep, despite the whole crowd (60,000 ish) all yelling for it. Spoilsports! Other than that they were fantastic yeah. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

Hi All, Just a quick reminder that this Thursday is the June London Skydivers drinks night. As the last couple of evenings have been reasonably quiet, we thought that we would not bother reserving an area this time as June is usually quiet anyway, and see if we can grab a couple of tables for the evening when people start getting there. It also saves us the £10 reservation charge as well! If it doesn't work out too well, we'll go back to reserving a section next month. So if everyone who comes could make a little more of an effort to wear skydiving stuff, closing pins or tshirts or whatever, it will probably help if any new people come. So see you Thursday, Caz
