I think as its only a week away from this one (on the 23rd) we're going to stick to the Montagu Pyke as its a little late now to be making last minute changes. If we do change the venue, this won't be until the next drinks evening at the end of July. ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

Tim, sorry to hear you're having a bad time here in the UK. Come along to the next London Skydivers social night on the 23rd. We put these nights together specifically for people in your situation coming back to jump in the UK and not knowing anyone. Theres about 30-40 people coming along each month now. cheers for all the suggestions guys. I'm actually going to temporarily be ok as I'm next jumping in Spain so it should be a little warmer, but shall have to try some of the suggestions when I get back

that actually sounds like quite a good idea, I could make that part of my 20 min kit up call: put mouth guard with sensodyne in, faff about checking kit, go to loo for nervous wee, kit up, take out mouth guard rinse and spit, go get gear check, get on plane! cheers for the suggestion!

I jump in England, its very rarely NOT cold outside! Certainly at altitude anyway! But thanks for the suggestion. One of my friends just suggested gagging myself on every jump, so I might try that, I talk too much anyway ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

yeah but I like the feel of the wind in my face and don't want to cover it up with a full face! Esp now that I'm concentrating on learning to freefly. I've thought about smearing my teeth in sensitive toothpaste before every lift but other than the fact that I'll look like a prat I'd never actually remember to do that anyway! ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

ok so this sounds like a really silly problem, but I've found recently that the cold air on my teeth in freefall while I'm grinning like a buffoon is really hurting! I have sensitive front teeth, and I don't use any whitening products etc because of this and don't bleach my teeth and I use sensitive toothpaste. I have only noticed it over the last 30 odd jumps due to the fact that I've been learning to freefly and am generally smiling a lot more in freefall because of that, I don't think its because my teeth are getting any more sensitive. Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone give me any pointers other than 'stop grinning'? I'd really like to keep this face rather than this one ! thanks - Caz ~~~ London Skydivers ~~~

god, cheers for those pics mate! And yep I think they were probably before the shots were drunk! yeah I'll be at the pub this Thursday, it doesn't seem like a whole month since the last one! It was a good turn out last time with lots of new faces, so hopefully this one will be too
