10D & Photoshop Color Settings Advice
videointhesky replied to videointhesky's topic in Photography and Video
What are you Photoshop users using for the color settings to work with Digital Photos from the Canon 10D? Should I have my 10D set to Adobe RGB in Parameters to work with Photoshop? Thanks for any help or advice -
Non-Circular Polarizing Lense. ???
videointhesky replied to Vertifly's topic in Photography and Video
Can you secure the lens so it will not vibrate? I have done this in the past with a support of some kind under the lens and then use zip ties and gaffers tape to keep the lens stable. Now I have machined metal lens support. But I all I use is a top mount helmet set up. Not sure how a side mount would work with a lens support if that is what your using. Here are some pic's of my helmet with the top mount support -
Non-Circular Polarizing Lense. ???
videointhesky replied to Vertifly's topic in Photography and Video
I have been using a Circular Polarizing Lens on both my video camera, 35 mm Minolta & 645 Pentax still camera's for sometime. Always making sure that there is enough light to use them. Here are a couple of 35mm shots using a Circular Polarizing Lens -

I have a helmet set up with a Minolta 35mm & Pentax 645 with the shutter releases for both in my left hand . I use my thumb for the 645 * middle finger for the 35mm. I would have a wide angle lens on the 35mm & used the 645 for the farther away shoots. I have both shutter release cables with a 3 conductor male & female 1/4 plug for quick disconnect

videointhesky replied to videointhesky's topic in Photography and Video
Anyone using Discreet Cleaner XL to convert video & audio for web use? What settings do you using to get the best Quality? Thanks for any help or advice -
Yes I use the button on the remote switch that is the RC1000 cable. I also put a stop on the release button will not slide down as if you where going to take a long exposure photo.
-
I'm using the RC-1000L Remote Cord
-
The RC1000 cable has 3 wires red, white, bare copper. I used a 1/4” stereo male & female plug to make my connection between the camera and the Remote Switch. I went Red to the Copper color on the plug, White to the Sliver color on the plug and the bare copper wire to the center ground of the plug
-
For my 35mm still cameras I use the Minolta 7XI Body's. Which uses the RC-1000L Remote Cord, this one is 3 meters long , the RC-1000 Remote Cord is a meter long if i remember right

Look at the Sony RDR-GX7 Component DVD Recorder

Check your memory card and make sure that it is pushed in all the way. I was also getting the error 99 on my 10D. I could hear the shutter release and the counter would counter down as if I had taken a photo but I kept getting error 99. The problem was the memory card was not push in all the way. It may not be the problem but it never hurts to check.
