    After a day of jumping on Saturday, we will have a chili contest that evening. The lucky winner will receive a prize (to be determined). Those that attend the chili cook-off and sign in that night at manifest will receive $16 jumps all day Sunday!! If you would like to participate in the Chili Contest, please bring your best homemade chili. And your nose plugs for riding the plane on Sunday.

    One of the pilots jumps with us. The dz is a member so it doesn't cost anything if we need their services. They have saved one life at the dz that I know of.

    When you turn the car off the muffler / exaust is hot. As it cools water condenses from the air. When you start the car up it will spit some water out the exaust. I have seen cars going down the road still spewing water from the exaust - perfectly normal.

    Isn't chronic pain part of getting older? You mean I'm not SUPPOSED to hurt like this? Maybe it is because it is not debilitating, but I think you just have to get used to it and deal with it whatever way you can. I either use advil or nothing - just deal with it. I have been in several accidents where my neck has been hurt all I have to do is go regularly to the chiropractor and don't move the wrong way or sleep wrong. "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"

    I am curious. How many of you with more than 500 jumps would fall onto the chart when you had say from 50-200 jumps?

    The fact that I am under a 230 is not going to stop me from hooking it into the ground. Education will.

    I haven't read what everyone is saying but this is my $.02. I weigh 250 out the door and started jumping a 190 at jump 30. (That is 1.3) Before that I jumped a 280, 260, 230 and a 205. I did this under the advisement of the AFFI/DZO/S&TA. I jumped that same size canopy until I quit jumping last year. (About 300 jumps) All without incident. I think it is safe to say that I think that you cannot apply all people to some chart. You have to judge on a case by case basis. If I had been forced to stay at a 230 until 500 jumps then I never would have continued jumping. This is a bad idea and not the solution to the problem.
