Shoulder surgery can currently suck my dick. May 29th 60% percutaneous supraspinatus repair, extensive debridement, and the fun part, decompression and a distal clavicle excision. 7 weeks post op and have just started being allowed to lift my arm and do static isometric exercises. Range of motion is slowly coming back, but I still have a lot of inflammation from the DCE. Full recovery in 3-4 months is what is quoted, and not allowed to start weight training / strengthening until 12 weeks post op. March 25th was my last jump and counting....

It sounds like the rigger you sent it to has droped the ball. Check and see if he shipped it and if so does he have a tracking number. Sparky Oh hell yes you get to be mad now. I'd probably change riggers over something like that if he/she has not sent it off yet. That's just me.

As long as the main side instructor had done all the proper dirt diving, training, etc, there is nothing at all unsafe about the reserve side meeting them at the plane if he just landed from a jump. If you want more personal attention, then that is fine. Find somewhere that is willing to cater to you. Don't be surprised if it costs more though, since they aren't turning as many student (likely). Also, don't be surprised when you get your A license and realize that the plane isn't gonna wait for you because you wanted some more "personal time". /in no way trying to be a dick/

Real close to Quantico, within an hour - Skydive Orange. Good place, good people, love em to death. My official "home" even though I am currently on a surgically induced hiatus. Great after hours atmosphere. Good instructors, equipment yadda yadda. Currently with a twin otter. Further down 95 just a bit south of Richmond is VA Skydiving Center. this used to be West Point Skydiving, before they moved. Another quality group of jumpers, and used to have a great party atmosphere post jumping, though I am sad to say I have not been there since they moved, but from what I hear and see, they sure as hell are not slacking. I believe they have a caravan, as well as a warp drive powered cessna. If you feel like taking road trips.... Blue Ridge Skydiving Adventures - new cessna start-up in New Market, VA. Great DZO, former president from Orange. Skydive Suffolk down towards Va Beach Skydive Delmarva up on the East side of DC. Never been to either, but never had a friend say anything bad about any other them Overall, you aren't going wrong anywhere in VA.
