The lawn didn't actually kill the mower I have -- the mower I have sucks. Useful more for bagging leaves than mowing a healthy bit of grass. I am in the market for a new one.

Anyone ever use one of those unpowered reel/blade push mowers? +/-?? My mower can't handle my lawn anymore and have to buy a new one. Was considering greening it up a bit and getting away from gas powered mowers. Let me up the stakes for you. You've got your skydiving vacation planned. Non-refundable airplane tickets, hotel reservations, etc. -- the works. You drop by the dz go to pick up your rig on the way to the airport, and your rigger says, "I'm sorry, I was unable to get hold of you to get authorization to fix something that in my professional judgment you need for your rig to be airworthy." See, the problem is that there isn't a right answer. Your rigger has to make a decision based on limited knowledge, and whichever way he chooses, sometimes someone is going to be unhappy. If you do not trust your rigger's judgment, if you do not believe he has your best interests at heart, why did you bring your rig to him? Mark Your lack of preparation is not my emergency. I tell my rigger (who is one of the most anal people I know) - fix all the little stuff you want - if shit's gonna get expensive, call me. But then again , I trust him completely. Much like a work order sent to PD. I sent in a canopy for a reline - I got a call after inspection letting me know of a tear they found. They don't proceed with repairs without customer authorization. Get a new rigger and a better relationship with them.

A good sprain can take 4-6 weeks to heal. During this time you should be resting and rehabbing it with stretching, strengthening and mobility exercises. While it is healing, the tendons are more vulnerable to injury and worsening injuries including fractures since the soft tissue is weak. When you return, I have found a good purchase to be the simple figure-8 brace from www.asoankle.com. Still use mine for Zone Acc. ///no financial affiliation with them.

I would be proud of redbull for doing it, but the person that edited the video must have either a) not seen ANY other videos in the meme or b) just wanted to give everyone a techno seizure cutting clips every .001 seconds. Props for doing a skydive version, but the edit was complete crap.

Nonsense. If that were true it wouldn't be available outside of the Factory Team. And I just ordered two 55's yesterday so we know that isn't true.

No, most of us are wondering when the Russias will make another swoop video like they had a couple of years ago. Not just anyone can chow and rotate into the crowd off the pond! You can't just capture that much awesome in one video very many times in your life. At least not with the same people and the same lives.

I got my answer. Thanks everyone.

This is what I was talking about - not worried about standing on the strut, but if two jumpers leave from 1 side and 1 jumper from the other while launching all 3 at the same time, can this present weight/balance problems? Just a curiosity in the name of keeping it safe.
-
I don't know if anyone here also flies as R44 as a jump platform, but somewhere I remember hearing there are limitations as to the exits - something about not launching asymmetric numbers of jumpers / equal weight on the skids on exit. Was I high on something or is this a real concern for that chopper?

I have no problem using a paid packer - even have a select few I trust to pack full RDS during comps for me. However - Even then I stow my brakes, re-attache my slider, and cock my own pilot chute. These are the important steps that can get you in a LOT of trouble if the packer misses them in a rush. On a random DZ packer with just fun jumping setup, I still do all three, cause that is taking responsibility for the prep work for them cause I value my openings, but don't feel like mucking around with putting it in the bag. Besides, most places I know, if you drop a rig complete shit mangled, the packer isn't even gonna touch it. YMMV.
