  1. I have never dated a younger guy before, I have always preferred older guys. Granted, I am not very old at all, and so far in my life, I have always been kind of ahead of the game. So if I am stepping away from high school, college, etc @ an early age, I guess I see no reason to go back to a younger guy. That may change at some point, but at the age of 21 currently, I will totally go for guys that are 23-30+ with no hesitation! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  2. I like good old classic Coors light (low in carbs) and then any kind of german wheat brewed beer. THere was this kind of beer that is French called Desperados that has some kind of fruit in it and it's wonderful, but I have never seen it in the states. Has anyone ever had it?? Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  3. We all have "those days" Hope that things get well quickly :) So now you are down because you are getting sick and not having a good day, so on the next day that you are feeling better, dont forget to think about how great it is that you are feeling better. I think that is something that we often forget to appreciate, ya know? If we feel normal, then its just no big deal (((((((((vibes)))))))) Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  4. Awesome, snakes are badass. Perfect pet for a skydiver since you can leave it alone on the weekend while you spend time at the DZ instead! That is planned to be my next pet as well. Any suggestions for a snake that will remain relatively small?? (Under 3 ft) My friend used to have a mini albino something (python maybe) that was adorable, but I am just not sure what to get! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  5. WHoa, actually a post with AerOhio people :) I miss you all and just want this damn winter to be over with. Swoop, hey to you and Mark. Hope Florida is nice and warm for you. I'll be there in a few weeks, but I'm not cool enough to go to the Keys (jumps), so I'll be at the tunnel instead. Alana, I held our place from last year, thats for damn sure. A little too much, I still can't think about alcohol!! Everyone take care & I hope time goes fast before I see everyone again!! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  6. 1992 Honda Civic- ODB Old DIrty Blue. I am gettin a new car tomorrow though, we'll see what the new name becomes. RIP- ODB :) Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  7. Thanks for telling us about your trip Eric! I am now even more excited than ever for my trip down to Orlando in a few short weeks. If you were ramming the walls, I can't wait to see what happens to me. I have been joking about that, but I can pretty much guarantee that is going to be me as well. I'm gonna hit up several dz's in that area as well, so it's good to see that you had good things to say about all of them. If you really want to go back- i'm going the 2nd week of Feb from Columbus Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  8. Lew, thanks for keeping us updated. Things are gonna bounce back- we are all here to help. I am very sorry to hear this, but like everyone else has said, as least you are here to type it and no one is hurt. You, Cajones and everyone that this has affected is in my thoughts and prayers. Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  9. oh B* ~ i agree i am so sad about that photo too* I am there too. That was the same thing I thought when i saw the horsey and it stuck in my mind the whole time I looked at the other pics! Awwww Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  10. Must be nice for you all considering our 10degree and below weather out here in the east! Everyone have fun, but dont forget to think of all us folks that have to be seasonal jumpers because we arent lucky like you!! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  11. I am sure this little list has been posted before, but it fits so perfectly into this thread. http://crw.boxofclue.com/yaknow.html (you know you're a skydiver when list) always fun to read!! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  12. PM me on some details. Mine broke today and I decided that it is time to retire her Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  13. that seriously gave me a gag reflex I have come to the conclusion that most of America is scattered with rednecks here and there and most likely I will never get away from them. Oh well, just gotta laugh! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  14. Well it is very sweet to save money and be thrifty in certain occasion- but I have no talent whatsoever with painting, so I guess ppl like me will just be broke paying the big bucks for helmets that are already pretty! Sweet helmet- good job! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  15. I dont think that coffee making is hard, but I have seen people at my work screw it up so many times! Burn it, get grinds in it, too weak or strong- whatever! You should make a dummy sign on the machine at your work with a "how to make a new pot when you take the lsat cup!" Maybe some people will get a clue!! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  16. I walked out for work this morning, not realizing that a cold front had come through overnite. 34 degrees farenheit? That is warm here at this time of year! I would guess that it is about 20 here right now, pus the wind chill makes it feel about 5 degrees. Not fun at all!! I'm going to Florida in a few weeks- saw highs in the seventies there and I CANNOT WAIT!! BTW- anyone that jumps anywhere around Orlando (Deland, Lake Wales, Sebastian, Sky Center) maybe I'll see ya there! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  17. Would you be surprised if I told you one of the members of the Board of Directors for the USPA was once too scared to jump? She got over it. If you want to, so can you. Her story is HERE.*** I have been scared of course, but more when I am thinking about skydiving than when I am really doing it. However, I just read the story above. If I were her, I would be scared too! The equipment that was used back then is so different than what we have now. The yechnology is much more advanced now and I think that I have confidence in our gear and what we know, which makes me less scared. Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  18. sugar now it seems like a thread to see who can respond first to the last answer listed, being as there are several replys for one word! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  19. salt and pepper shaker Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  20. Ok, this one made me want to cry. Am I the only one who sees this as really sad? I see what you're saying, but damn, that's sad. Kelly I know this is sad to most, but I guess that is why I am in long term care. After living a long and respectable life, I really want to give people the best end of life experience that they can possibly have. I have just accepted this disease as a fact of life for them, despite the fact that it is a sad disease. It is more sad for the family than it is for them because they have absolutely no idea it is going on most of the time- not like cancer, where you know you have an illness that is bad. Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  21. Have a toga party and furnish the togas. But donating them is a much kinder idea :) Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  22. I do the same thing, so dont feel so bad. I normally catch on after I have hit enter, but I tend to multi-task and not pay full attn to all that I am doing, so it is known to happen. I just say "sorry" and people just laugh. Oh well! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  23. I work at a Nursing Home and it makes me smile for many reasons - doing something to touch the heart of a resident is great- most people here don't have much -going to the Alzheimer unit and "pretending" with these innocent and nieve people - getting to see someone recover and get to go home Aside from work, -Skydiving -looking forward to fun things that are coming up with family and friends, like my trip to Florida after a very hard test next month -Warm weather -The feeling after a hard workout -Emails from friends on days like today -Knowing that I am blessed to have a wonderful family and so many great friends surrounding me Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  24. IT was really good, but even better because it was on a huge screen. MAde all the best things look even better. Sucks that the video is playing in Ohio right now though where none of us can jump at all! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
  25. We have to be the ones that take mandatory trips to warm weather like Eloy and Florida! SOrry about your luck, I know it DOES SUCK ALOT! Blue skies and SAFE landings! ~Amanda~
