  1. GREAT Looking addition to the family. Thank you for the picture. Keep him safe. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  2. The types of injuries will depend on the "Type" of skydiving the person is doing. For example: Teams- lots of stress on joints and exits. Shoulder and elbow injuries (scrapes and strains). Load organizing: everything from being hit in the air to twisted anckles on the ground. CRW (Canopy Relitive Work) (don't know to much about this because you have to be crazy to want to touch someone under canopy... ) Swooping: impact injuries. Hitting the ground or water at a high rate of speed. Even just brushing the ground/water at those speeds will give you a nice little burn. Then you have hard openings: back and neck injuries. Twists and sprains to dislocated shoulders. Camera/Video person: neck and back injuries. With the extra weight on your head and a hard opening. OUCH. Now, the everyday stuff. Anckles and knees with hard landings. With the wind, no wind, down wind, cross wind, you name it people can get injuried. Hope that it help to answer some of the questions. Patrick P.S. Yes, I have had a couple of injuries doing DUMBASS stuff. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  3. A lesson learned and not shared is still a lesson, But only one person learns when you don't share. Even if it is embarrassing. You are alive and hopefully someone will learn from it besides yourself. Isn't that was the Dropzone.com all about? Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
  4. You can use the Cypres, just turn it off (same series of pushes with the red light) and then turn it back on. It recals to the area you are at. I must admit, I am not a expert, nor a rigger but if it is reset, it would be just like if you had only jumped at the one spot... Makes sense?.... Any other opinions? Well, looks like the cheapest is in Texas and the Mid-West with the most expensive being California and Oregon unless you live in the UK. Thanks everyone for the response. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together

Got a quick question. What is the price of a gallon of regular gas where you are at? Mine, Tampa Florida is $1.40 as of 13 May 2003. I just want to compare what it is around the country. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together

  20. I have a Samurai 136 and have had the same problems with the stainless steel and the toggles. On opening, when I first got it (50 jumps ago) I collapsed the slider then pulled it down behind my head (like I would with my 150) and popped my toggle. Talk about spin and having a greI have the double stowes top and bottom. I talked with Brian and he talked me through a different technique to pulling it down. You pinch the toggles with your thumb and middle finger while pulling down with you index. MAKE SURE YOU ARE CLEAR prior to attempting. Nothing like playing in a 120 way while doing this... I will have to check on the slider. Anything to make it a little safer. Thanks for the info. Airborne Blue Skies, No Wind Feet and Knees Together
