Graduating from forbidden to subjects for bidding. Sine of maturity DZ.com is getting there.
-
would be nice to hear.
-
Yap But where is the mature crowd. Where is the midle age group, that is not in the sport for business? Where do they dissapear or do the carreers and marriages wash them away. Or is it just that the wisdom comes with age. Hell... for me not: JL
-
Thats nothing. There are places where they do it with real guns all the time. But I have actually heard about a place where they catch and release fish....NOW THAT IS SICK.
-
C... but never heard of limitation like the one. What is USPA stand with the issue.... is this kind of crap common in US?
-
Do I read it correct, DZ SLV is accepting only jumpers that they have trained... if thats the case... it sounds as if there would be room for a competitor. So where is it?
-
That is rough What is SLV??? and is this kind of crap common in the land of freedom? Is the guy rolling in money or runig the business for his worst friend?
-
So is it the people or the sport that keep you going?
-
With regard to DZs, I was under the impression that they were the one big happy family on this everlasting Disney ride?
-
its interesting, considering the investment etc... Maybe it's just the maturing crowd with short attention span. Seen it in diving industry over a period of 35 years +. Personally quitting the diving now because of this seen it all feeling and hoping, that with a bit of luck the next change will be after an other 35 years.

Is the novelty wearing off or the fresh air restoring the sanity? just wondering: JL
-
Don't worry. Once you mature you start wanting things that are for bidding. Cheers: JL
-
That will be it. You said it.

Thank you for everyone's input. I guess there is no simple solutions and I just have to get used to wearing glasses and get them sized down. I hate it hate hate hate hate..... I guess I am starting to see the effects of age. Just wondering what might go next Cheers: JL
-
Ty michael I will get in touch with them. But there must be a simple solutions like optical lens. There must be xx thousand skydivers who have cracked the same problem. Cheers: JL

Thanks Wendy I have tried to source one. About three weeks ago I even started a thread for easy read altimeters, but so far the only answer I have come up with is a digital one. My main concerns are the 900 ft, 600 ft and 300 ft points on the approach, after 300 ft I would not need it. On the analog meters, there is no bloody way I can read it to that accuracy without glasses. Maybe a magnifying tape on the lens... I do not now and it is a real aggravation. Cheers: JL

I am wearing reading glasses and they are an irritating problem. I need them to read the altimeter and need to get rid of them for landing because even if worn at the bottom of your goggles, they will get in the way just when you are supposed to judge the flaring height. As a student jumper I am landing at aprox 45 deg angle, so optical goggles don't help. Are optical covers available for altimeters. Probably not, I would have discovered them by now. So what would be good solution, maybe I should keep wearing my reading glasses, and as a sailor, let go the led line at mark twain on final.

110 are fine, I use to have tdi 5 / 110 truck before. The only prob was that when seriously off road, it was a bit too long. With LR 90, the beast has more balls than I do.
-
I got a Landrover Defender Tdi 90 / 00 but no rating. Well, it's a tractor anyway.... but one hell of a beast for that.
-
That one was for sailors liking.

The way you are going about it. But call it on its real terms, be honest. You do not need brown nosing coalitions to back you up. Neither should you break your relations with your friends who are of the opinion, that it is mostly your fight. You should have respect to their honesty. Tell your leaders to quit mixing things up with religion..... I have said it before and say again..... leave that crap to mullahs. And finally, be just in your victory. Treat and call your enemies in acceptable terms or you wiil find out, that the sweet taste of revenge will have a bitter after taste even in your own mouths. Kindly: JL

Sarcasm of wisdom. I should add, that there was a country executing this line of thinking right before WW II. All of us know the results.

This is an interesting discussion and It would be nice to see it being debated by persons with good knowlege of international law. My own feelings are, that as long as we are dealing with organized groups of foreign origin under clear command structure, such person / s should be treated according to same terms that we expect and accept our own undercover operators to be treated. War is dirty, but it can be more acceptable, if parties involved threat the opposition on fair terms. In this respect letting the revenge to overshadow fairness is an unfortunate mistake. It is sad to see USA in a position where emotions take over from cool judgment, no matter how understandable those motions are. USA should know better, than to resort to actions more fitting to trird world rag head dictatorships. I would hope that the attitude of revenge would give room for clear headed justice. Why is a great nation willing to sacrifice international respect in order to take revenge on a bunch of losers. Give them hell, but treat and call them as combatants, even if they do not deserve it. Sincerely: JL

It is interesting to see, that most of you consider freedom as something you could be proud of. Having lived once upon a time almost five years in states, I find it just the opposite, for me USA was one of the most restricted countries that I have ever lived at, and still is. You have plenty of reasons to be proud of your country and heritage.... but freedom.... I do not think so. Freedom is the walk in woods without NO TRESPASSING signs. Freedom is a salmon on your line with out salmonsticker. Freedom is a goose on your rifle sight without NPS chasing your ass. Freedom is your camp where ever you want to put it up as long as it does not cause harm to the property. Freedom is naked kids running on beaches or lawn without social service arresting you for trumped up charges made by your neighbors. Freedom is a walk in late night town without having to pack a piece. Freedom is equal changes for education and medical care irrigardless of your wealth or race. Freedom is the right to speak your mind, even if politically not correct. Freedom is many things, but unfortunately I never found it in USA. Great country never the less, happy 227:th. Kind Regards: JL
