I'm kinda surprised the hospital let him leave if her really did try to kill himself. Maybe it's different in Tx, but out here, the hospital can commit the person for 3 days to make sure they aren't a danger to theirselves ______________________________________ I agree but he is a star so he gets "special" treatment. imagine that...and remember it was only an allergic reaction not a suicide attempt...

3:15 ET. I have a class at 2:30 so I won't see it. He talked to Michael Irving (another one I don't have much love for) and said that he did not try to commit suicide, that he had an allergic reaction. Dallas fire and rescue are saying, he can say what he wants to today, but last night, he, his publicist and his Minister all confirmed he has been depressed and he was trying to hurt himself. They reported that he had taken 35 prescription pain killers. T.O. is saying he had taken a "supplement" and they are not sure what caused the reaction. He has been on these pain killers for 8 days prior to any reaction. All of this latest info is coming from ESPN and info that they are receiving from Michael Irving...

Well he has just postponed his formal statement to 3:15pm. What a dumb a$$. The fire and rescue people there are saying that they were there with paramedics, he and his publicist Kim Ehteridge and his MINISTER were there. They all indicated that he was trying to hurt himself... The dude has experienced meltdown from the pressure, it happens. He needs help, not a quick release from the hospital and a formal press statement. If they care about him at all they will get him away from the media and into some kind of treatment program.

The EMS and Fire Dept. responders that were there have tried to stay a2way from answering questions, police are saying what happened is none of their business, it wasn't a crime, and Kim Etheridge, who made the call and was the first one to say he was trying to commit suicide and is also his publicist is now changing her story and saying it was an allergic reaction. ESPN is now saying he will make a formal statement from his home at 1:00 pm. 5 minutes and we will know what he has to say, Dallas fire and rescue are saying with out question the T.O said yes, he was trying to hurt him self... Wierd stuff...

If they can use the pending suit to "tie-up" the estate of the pilot, and because he is co-owner of the DZ, then they tie up "little-guys" (the DZ) life line (their finances). The effort here is to get the multiple defendants up in arms with each other. Then they hope they can get them trying to dunk each other into the grease. Makes for ugly law suits, easy to win. The sad part is in a lot of these cases, the little guy can't even afford to defend themselves because of the cost of long, drawn out depositions, investigations, and general pot stirring. Sad as it is, even when there is no negligence involved, the expense can be to much for survival of the smaller defendants in these cases. It sucks, but unless there is some tort reform put in place, then frivolous suits will continue, that involve suing everyone that the lawyers can name. They will also search sites like this just to see if there were any ill feelings going on in the community and try to use that to their benefit too if they can.
