Recently saw it. Very, very moving. It deserved every award it won. Definitely on my top 10 all-time favorite movie list. Skydive Radio!!!

I hope it doesn't get any worse. Should be healed up in time for Dollardaze, right? See ya then... -Cory Skydive Radio!!!

Not sure about the CC fee or RV hookups (fforlini@hotmail.com would know). With an otter and skyvan going, there should be little wait. Around 15 minutes per load on the otter...and around 30 minutes per load on the van. We're borrowing the same manifest program that the couchfreaks use. Several folks will be trained on using the software. We have set times for everyone to work...so...there will always be lots of help at manifest and registration (unlike last year). Skydive Radio!!!

I'll definitely flock with ya. It may be the best day for me...since I'll be pretty busy with tandems on Sat/Sun. -Cory Skydive Radio!!!

Hi Rich... The Lincoln Sport Parachute Club is only 30 minutes from Offutt. Crete is about 90 minutes from Offutt. Everyone from the Omaha area goes to LSPC. Our club's boogie is July 15-17th in Plattsmouth, NE. That's about 15 minutes from Offutt. You must come out and jump with us. Please visit our website for more info about us...and for directions (www.skydiveLSPC.com). Skydive Radio!!!

Just got done watching it. I thought it was great. Very funny. Skydive Radio!!!

I've done a dozen or so S-3 jumps out of a king air. I have found that doing a back flip out (while keeping everything tucked) works great. By the time you get on your belly, the plane is long gone. Skydive Radio!!!

4th of July boogie at Skydive Adventures...in Luverne, MN. Mulllins' King Air baby! Skydive Radio!!!
-
What? You are nuts! I can't wait for July and August. I'm getting tired of having rain 5 days a week. This coming week is looking beautiful for us. Skydive Radio!!!

We've got 3 flockers in our club (4 suits altogether). It would be great if we had a dozen flockers this year. Skydive Radio!!!
-
I'm hoping we get some birdfolks to come visit us. MIDWEST FLOCKERS - come on out and play! We have 3 flockers (4 suits) from our club alone. It would be awesome to fill up half the plane with birds. Skydive Radio!!!

I watched this documentary last year. It's educational...and shows you a point of view that most Americans don't see. I recommend it. Skydive Radio!!!

Independence Day was one of the most ridiculous, horrible movies of all time. This movie came to mind right away. Skydive Radio!!!

The Lincoln Sport Parachute Club will be holding it's annual boogie on July 15th-17th...at Plattsmouth Airport (just south of Omaha). We had too many jumpers for 1 plane last year...so we got 2 this time. We'll have a Skyvan AND an Otter this year. Like always, we cater to all skydiving diciplines. Please see the attachment for further details. Contact Frank (boogie@skydivelspc.com) for questions.

My theory on how guys can get skydiving girlfriends
NEcrewDOG replied to Vallerina's topic in The Bonfire
Very insightful, Val. For the most part, that matches our dz. Hope to jump with ya at the couchfreaks boogie. Skydive Radio!!! -
Yep, that's the Roger that I'm thinking of. Thanks a lot for the info. The book, 'The man who dropped from the sky' is his biography...written in the early 80's. What an amazing story. Skydive Radio!!!

Just wondering if anyone knows/knew Roger. I just read an amazing story about him. I'm hoping to contact him (via e-mail). Skydive Radio!!!

From your description, I can't really tell what you may have done. It sounds more like a cartilage tear...but, I'm no doc. I've had completely torn ligaments and torn cartilage in each knee (from football). I had surgery on both...did solid physical therapy for 5-6 months...and have successfully returned to skydiving and skiing after each injury. If you just had a cartilage tear, you'll only have a couple of months of recovery. You must do the PT though. Do not slack on it. Make your appt with a sports medicine specialist. You can probably wait till the season is over with...since you've gone without any treatment for 3 years. I wouldn't prolong any further than that. You could make it worse...and end up having a longer recovery time. Skydive Radio!!!

I bought it as soon as it was released. I think redux is a liitle too long. I can understand why some of the scenes were cut out. Some of those scenes just seem to drag. Still a classic movie though. Skydive Radio!!!

I think women look hot driving mini-vans......NOT! Skydive Radio!!!

What do you listen to on your way to the DZ?
NEcrewDOG replied to outdoorflygirl's topic in The Bonfire
I usually play Beastie Boys, The Who, and PUSA when I head out to the dz. I like to be pumped up when I arrive. *** Skydive Radio!!! -
I own the DVD but get excited when it comes on TV...
NEcrewDOG replied to AggieDave's topic in The Bonfire
The Godfather 1 and 2. They're on tv at least once a month. I own them on DVD...but still can't help to watch them on tv. *** Skydive Radio!!! -
I heard a rumor Bird Man is coming to NE in July
NEcrewDOG replied to kansasskydiver's topic in Wing Suit Flying
I believe our boogiemeister is still working on this. We currently only have 1 birdman on our dz. I'll have my suit in May. So...there's 2 more flockers that you can count on come July 16th. Skydive Radio!!! -
UCONN Huskies, baby! Ben Gordon, MVP.

Being in the software development field, I've seen this take place right in front of me at 2 companies. It really pisses me off as a born citizen with a college education that we're being forced to look around for jobs and take lower wages because our gov't allows cheaper labor from outside to replace us. There's a large ripple affect that takes place because of this. The first problem is that the market is flooded with unemployed programmers, making it harder to find jobs. It also affects all of the colleges that have computer science programs. No one is going to enroll in these programs when they find out that the market is terrible. There has to be a strict cap on allowing cheap, outsourced work. It's impossible to compete against India and China because they'll work for pennies.
