Yup... just got my mom to buy me an audible for xmas

I will be singing the same song in about 2 hours!! but sober right now

100 meters is damn good, considering it controls a ram-air canopy, with a computer... Think about it, everytime you jump, you know what ground winds are like, and you can easily asses your drift. All it has to go by is how its moving over the ground, according to GPS... sure, it can make a good guess, but I dont think that 100m accuracy is too bad for a computer...

Shit, that could be fun... Wouldnt want one of those to be kicking around at a dropzone though... Imagine skydivers, when the beer light is on (scay enough), that can make themselves invisible too...

Ahh...10764... If you really suck at something, then cheat.

Yay! I love Friday I have to work on Sunday Must jump tomorrow

I agree with the "sucks" part... loved the first one, couldnt wait for the second one (actually ended up waiting till it was on DVD), we rented it at the DZ, and I never even finished watching it. Too much cool looking stuff, not enough semi-realistic stuff (gotta admit, the first one was fairly believable until he flew away at the end

I heard a rumour that they are running into legal issues, because a vigil looks, for the most part, like a cypres with a different cover on it. I think it was an issue with the fact that the cutters are exactly the same, and made by the same company as the cypres ones. Dont know how much of this is true, just a rumour... but it would explain the delay.

That pretty much describes most american beer in general... Try some of the real Canuck stuff
-
Okeydokee... sorry for wasting time. never saw it before Edit: I scoured the site before I posted that... honest
-
Ya, hes looking to do that... not sure what hes running right now though. Other than that issue, it works great.

Ya, I was thinking about that... I couldnt find any info about the 2004 WFFC, anyone know when they are updating the website?

How many jumps did you do in your first year of skydiving?
gulaz replied to andy2's topic in General Skydiving Discussions

Does anyone have any pictures of early CRW?

I am a new skydiver (62 jumps, started in May of this year). I am looking to go to a boogie in the US or Canada during this next summer. I want to go to something with lots of parties, but lots of good skydiving too... Looking for opinions
-
I couldn't do that on my birthday... Middle of December, in Canada... brr...

I used to be active in a forum that had a feature you could enable/disable that sent you a notification email whenever someone replies to a post you made (similar to when someone sends you a PM)... it is halfway there with watched threads, but its nice when you post a message, to be able to know if someone replies to it. Just another idea to make a wicked website more awesome.

You have discovered the best group of people in the whole entire world... there is no other group of people like it

I started learning to pack the same day as my first jump. It seems more daunting than it actually is, but packing is just a series of steps, and most packers pack so many sets of gear, it pretty much turns into a routine. Get an instructor to show you how to pack, or at least watch someone do it who explains what they are doing, and it should make you feel a bit better.

A guy at my DZ bought one, and he is finding that it changes from one "mode" to the other too slowly... he is under canopy for sometimes up to 20 seconds before it switches to "canopy mode", so it records 70+ seconds of freefall from 9500'. Apparently there is a new software upgrade that fixes this though.
