My family is going to Hawaii in August for 2 weeks, and they told me I can have a free plane ticket. There are two dropzones there, according to the listings here. I want a dz.commer perspective of the dropzones. If you have visited either/both, (Pacific Skydiving Center/Skydive Hawaii), post your experience. Looking at their websites, they dont seem too fun-jump oriented (makes sense, hawaii = lots of tourists). Thanks

Hop n pops are great. Especially first thing in the morning. They dont take too long (or cost as much money) and I find them really relaxing. Even better... a high load and someone gets out for a hop n pop! Because then the ride is a little more comfy -
How many jumps do you plan on doing next year? What are your skydiving goals for the new year? I plan on doing 150 jumps next year (I did 70 this year, I think I should be able to, considering I started late). Get a coach rating.

This is a recurring argument here. Both are dangerous, and you can minimize risks doing both. By safer, do you mean less chance of dying by freak accident? Self inflicted? If someone is driving a ferrari or something through a city going 100, and hit something, and die, does that make driving unsafe, or does it make them stupid. Same kind of idea with skydiving.

A really fun variation, is to take some kind of tape, whatever is really sticky, but doesnt smell too much. Rub catnip all over a bunch of pieces, and spread them around. Your cat should get one stuck to its face. When it finally gets it off (if its dumb enough, like mine) it will find another piece of tape, and think to itself "Ohh... catnip"

Im making christmas dinner preparations with my dad, and we are getting really drunk... hot chocolate and baileys, mmm... The stuff we cook at the start always turns out good, its the later stuff that sometimes gets interesting

How cold is a MF?? We had a day here (I wasnt jumping that day) -4C on the ground... -26C at 9500' Im glad i missed that day. Edit: I dont believe stories without pictures either
