I had to post this picture. It's hard to really see how big it is untill you see it like this. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

Has anyone tried to sidemount a Sony HC3/5/7? If you have, what box did you use? _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

I want to go for more compression. Aperture would be wide open (really small number) allowing more light in. You’d actually be able to use a much faster shutter speed and lower ISO. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

I want to try for some unique shots with a really small depth of field (kicking the background out of focus) and make the ground look really close. Does anyone here have any experience using a telephoto lens in freefall? _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

It would work for someone like me. I don’t log on to DZ.com on a regular basis, although I’m frequently looking at the forums. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

I’m trying to find the best way to store digital photos. I know that CDs can degrade and lose the information stored on them, but can a hard drive degrade too? I’ve been told that buying the expensive CDs is better, but are they really worth it? I’ve heard of some CDs losing data in as little as 18 months. That’s pretty scary. I was thinking that an external hard drive would work. If it was only hooked up to the computer for a limited time to back-up the pictures and then placed on the shelf, how long would a hard drive hold that data? I’m basically looking for the easiest and longest lasting solution to save my pictures. Things I’ve considered: Burning CDs, External Hard Drive, Printing most goods ones, Tape back-up. What do you guys think? _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

I don’t call it blacking out. I like to call it time traveling. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

I guess I'll have to take you out for beers when I get home this weekend. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

Sorry, I wasn't real clear in what I was asking. I was thinking along the line of slag and dis-coloring the suit. I'm trying to not wreck the suit. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

I got another one for you. Would the size of the wing make a difference? Would it be better to jump a WS with a smaller wing like a Gti vs. a S3? Would the burble created by the big wing affect it different than a smaller wing? _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

Kevin, do you have any pictures of you wearing the Jim Wallace bracket with your suit on? I'm trying to get an idea of how it fits on the WS. I'm trying to build something that can go on over the WS so I can do a quick release if needed. Also, I cant seem to find a link to the smoke bracket at Jim Wallace web site. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

Would the pin issue you discussed in point one be the only reason for moving the canister? Would moving them to the side be better for avoiding smoking/slaging up the suit? I was thinking about adding some sort of extension like the Leap Frogs do when they jump drop flags. They put soda cans on the smoke to catch the slag. If there was an extension how much do you think it would mess with flying the suit? _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

Here is what I'm working with for a smoke bracket. These are designed and used for regular free fall. It uses hot smoke, so keeping the hot slag off the leg wing is important. I also have to put the suit over the buckles and straps since it would not fit over the bootie. I was thinking of moving the canister to the outside on the left foot (the shiny side in picture 3 and 5) I haven't tried this with a WS yet. I would like to know if you guy think it'll work. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

Found another fun list. http://money.cnn.com/2003/10/13/pf/dangerousjobs/index.htm Maybe pilots aren't over paid after all. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

When I think of people that have too much money and don't deserve it, I can only think of Paris Hilton. People like that make me sick. From all I've seen, she has only made one movie (and it was only three minutes long and poor quality) and been on a TV show on FOX. I can't even force myself to watch her on that show. She appears stupid and lazy. Correct me if I'm wrong, but has she done anything? People like her bug me. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

It was so warm that I actually left the house. Stupid cold _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

What about the food, can you feed her enough to keep her away from mine? _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

I'll pimp you my sister if you take me along. Or you can have her if you would fix my computer. Or you can just have her to keep her frome eating all my food. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

Yeah, it was Tomb Raider that got all the skydivers interested in wingsuits. Or maybe it was that movie that got the mainstream press interested. Silly reporter. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

We made a birdgirl out of my sister at couchfreaks. She got off a few wingsuit jumps, smiling the whole flight. Way to go Jilly!

I do have another question. What does the bracket look like? If you have any pics that would be cool. And do you get enough track to keep the smoke from staining your wingsuit? _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

I did a little looking and saw that Kevin was going to try smoke without the booties. I remember seeing on the BM site that someone did a wall with smoke and it looked like the booties were on. Just wondering if anyone has a way to put a bracket on without having to remove the booties. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

Our issue with the transfer was the BM with the passenger is flying hard to actually go, while the BM without a passenger is closed up. When the passenger moves, the original BM would pop up, while the second BM would sink out. I may work, but it would take some awsome flying and timing _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031

All that in six easy setps? Sounds fun. _________________________________________ You look like a well fed robin. -monkey1031
